  1. KZ1 Unloaders

Why did you have to replace 3 inside of a year? What went wrong with them?
  2. Honda is tearing me up

Don, I think that engine would kick back with no water in it at all. Definitely sounds like a compression problem. RC, try starting it without any hoses on it. Be ready to shut it off if it starts. If it still screws up and it's new, get it fixed for free.
  3. Concrete and Well Water Stains

I used to live in FL in a mobile home with a well. Nothing but iron water. I carried drinking water in from the city in a 5 gallon jug. My shower was always turning orange. I sprayed aluminum brightener on it and it disappeared. Put a cup in the dishwasher and run it through a cycle..good as new.
  4. Honda is tearing me up

Your problem is valve adjustment in the engine or a stuck compression release on the camshaft. If you're comfortable turning wrenches, remove the valve cover and check the valve clearance at TDC. .006 on intake, .008 on exhaust. If the clearance is right, put your thumb on the exhaust valve rocker arm and slowly pull the engine over. The exhaust valve should move slightly just before TDC. If it doesn't, the compression release on the cam is broken or stuck with debris. Probably best to take this to a shop.
  5. buying local

Usually larger ticket items (equipment and drums of chemical) can be purchased locally cheaper or comparably priced when "shipping and handling" are factored in. A 550 lb drum shipped by itself can run $120.00 to $175.00 in freight costs. A distributor will ship in between 5,000 and 10,000 lbs of freight at a time, at a cost of $.07 -$.09 per lb. Equipment is also usually shipped free freight for minimum orders, usually 3 - 5 at a time.
  6. Issue with pump

I only use 6 point sockets on brass (17 mm for drain plug, 30 mm for valve caps). You may never get it out now that it's chewed up. I may have some extra crankcase covers laying around if you want to start over.
  7. Leaking Area

Just curious...what did you find out?
  8. A down home horoscope

  9. Lowering pressure with tip

    4 gpm: #4.5 = 3000 psi #6 = 2000 psi #8 = 1000 psi
  10. Leaking Area

You do actually have 2 nipples that run through the skin to the coil. I have had 2 leakers in the past week with nipple problems. One chafed through on the edge of the skin, the other cracked right where it entered the coil. Went to remove it and it broke off flush with the coil. Thank God for easy outs.
  11. pump problem help

Hey, jnoden, there should be a small brass valve on the right side of the pump manifold on the high pressure part with a piece of tubing going into the side of the inlet strainer. These easy start valves sometimes fail. Start the machine, squeeze the trigger, and crimp the tubing with pliers. If pressure comes up, you've found your culprit.

    That's funny, Mike.

  15. Happy Easter! What's your pick?

People in Cali DON'T get everything first apparently - lol - Cadbury cream eggs are a confectionary (paid $.50 for that) delight. Creamy, sugary goo that is colored like an egg (white & yellow) wrapped in a thick shell of Cadbury chocolate. Bite into one and feel your teeth starting to rot.
  16. Down stream injector

You may have put too much back pressure on the injector by adding additional hose. Get an injector with a smaller orifice and that should fix it.
  17. no time

Get your costs plus a rib dinner with a few cold beers.
  18. Unloader out to lunch

Remove the outlet fitting ( where the hose that goes to the coil attaches). Inside there will be a brass piston with an o ring on the tip and a spring underneath. Sometimes the piston becomes stuck by debris or becomes worn and cocks diagonally in the bore. Make sure it moves freely and that the o ring is in good shape.
  19. Flow unloader questions

How do you spike the swivel? The shut off gun is upstream of the swivel, so it will never see the pressure spike.
  20. Chemicals (Airport)

Jet fuel is basically highly refined diesel fuel. I would try a truck wash product designed to remove diesel smoke. Butyl based degreasers do an excellent job on burned on grime. May be worth a try, too.
  21. General Info Site about starting a PW Business

Ghemical application on a deck...1:3? For cleaning or stripping?
  22. It shouldn't hurt the pumps a bit because the unloaders will regulate any excess. But you may just smoke a swivel,
  23. Max GPM's on hoses??

The only info I could find rates 3/8" hose at 6 GPM.
  24. John T., that surface cleaner is now being manufactured by Farley's and is rated at 6 gpm, 3,000 psi, 200 degrees.
  25. Need Some Help?

Not a problem at all, my friend.
