Hey Jerry, John is in Australia. I think he's more afraid of the freight bill than yours. :-)

A couple of my favorites.

'It's clear, this all happened because we're Muslim,' says Dena Meawad. It's clear that you think you don't have to conform to the rules because you're Muslim...

...but not nearly as effective.

There is a setscrew on the pump gear, not on the engine. The gearbox to engine is a slide on connection. Get 2 large screwdrivers or pry bars and get them between the gearbox and the engine on opposite sides. Manipulate both of them at the same time to give an even pulling action. Hopefully that will do it, otherwise you're going to have to tear up some stuff to save other parts.

The burner control should work the same whether you bypass to the pump, tank, or on the ground.

Firstly, are you positive that you have the correct tip in the gun?
Here's the breakdown for your machine...

Item 13 is the switch responsible for starting the machine.
I'd take the hose off the barb (14), check for good flow.
Next, unscrew the cap on the flow switch (13) and check the piston inside for ease of movement. It may be jammed up, impeding flow.
If everything looks okay there, the next check would be the injector on the pump outlet.

Sounds like you need to find a better water source.

Hi Russ,Thanks for the offer. Do you have a shop or website etc..... I didn't see any information in your signature.
How / where would I see the parts you have for sale?
The store is still a work in progress. If you don't see what you need, send me an email...russ@pressurewasherky.us

I've got two 13 hp Hondas that are each giving me some issues.Engine #1: Starts right up and seems to run strong. However, when you stop the flow of water out of the pump, the engine quickly dies. It can be started right back up without problem and again runs strong, until you release the trigger on the nozzle... then dead in seconds.
Engine #2: When the engine is off (and maybe when running?) gas drips out right by the carburetor from a plastic. Ummm... nothing else seems to be long.
I could just take therm both to the small engine shop... but I've replaced the carbs on both before and do the normal maintenance on them... was hoping for a couple pointers - sure someone has encountered the same issues before.
#1...see below, #2...Sounds like something is stuck in the float needle valve.
I'd bet the problem with engine no.1 isn't the engine at all. it's the unloader on the pump.Yep, I agree.

How about Tuesday this week. I look forward to the call.

Looks like a pretty nice set up.

Shame about your local guy not being there for you, but I'd be honored to stand in.

Many years ago when I got into this line of work I bought an 11hp Honda with a direct drive Cat on it. Since then I have bought several other more powerful machines, several different trucks and trailers but I still have that old Honda with the Cat pump, the only difference is the unloader has been replaced. About 15 minutes ago I came home from acid rinsing a deck with that same machine. A very old direct drive pump but it still works perfect. Is that a 4SF Cat? Those pumps are wonderful...but very costly now.

Call me Monday.

Had you run the machine right before the oil change? Oil will froth some (even non-detergent), but should clarify after sitting for a little while. If it wasn't "creamy" looking, then it's doubtful it contained any water.

A propane heater should not produce combustion byproducts. Could be the heat discolored the paint, in which case, there is nothing to be done.

I've had customers bring them to me after they've broken off. I've never actually witnessed it.

I prefer the 22 mm twist couplers between the wand and gun. There's a lot more surface area to take the "wobble" that hanging a 4' piece of pipe off a gun will cause. The groove that the balls lock into on regular quick couplers are fairly thin, and many times snap off in the groove.

Call me...it'll be less...quite a bit less.
