This Australian based, Kiwi born, needs some insight.....aluminium cladding. Its not here in Perth, & not in NZ. So I'm going to have to assume its made to look like timber overlap, but made of thin, formed ali? Yes? Is the colour bonded to the surface at manufacture or is painted after the place is built? We have panelling over here called Colourbond. It never breaks down. Its electrically bonded to the panels at the point of manufacture. It doesn't fade, mold can be removed with out any damage, using a bleach/soap mix. Any hoo, this cladding. What is it?.

Spots on Driveway after sealing
mick m replied to WindowBrite's question in Residential Pressure Washing
If you used a solvent based sealer, I'd say it wasn't given enough time to dry, with the trapped moisture rising to the surface as the day heats up,Or, contaminated thinners, if used. -
Window cleaning. Removing rust stains from stone. Why? "Hello Mr painter". "While your here, can you wire up these outdoor lights for me"? Stick to what you know, & you wont have these problems.

When you say it will draw 33%, does that mean it will draw that percentage of the pumps flow?
-
Hi People. How you all doing today?. Brought a Hydrotek HVAM04 swivel to retrofit my s/c. Can anyone tell me, how it can survive without being greased now & again, & what type of bearings it has. Ceramic or stainless, or.....? Or, has anyone pulled one apart to replace said bearings? I had a look on their website, which was about as much use an ashtray on a motorbike! Any info would be much appreciated. Cheers, Mick. :)

Do you need to use 1/2 hose with that flow?

Just as an after thought..... While I was doing my research on pumps for the up grade, one of my supplier's was kinda half trying to talk me out of going to 8 gpm. Why did I want the extra flow etc....yahda yahda yahda. Then informs me that I need to attend & pass an "Extreme Pressure Pump" safety course. For OHS reasons! "really"? Get stuffed. Do you have this sort local govt interference in the US? If it was truly extreme pressure, as in 7 + thousand psi, then fair enough, but 3000 @ 8 gals.....
-
Cheeers Doug. I was looking for that "sweet spot". Maximum flow with still enough pressure to move gum etc while rinsing.
-
I've just upgraded to 8 gpm. What a difference. Not so much on the s/c at this stage as I haven't increased the nozzle size yet. But on the rinsing side, its like using a fire hose. All of my work is monthly periodicals. I noticed that I'm shaving off anything from 1/2 to 1.5 hrs, depending on the area I'm doing that particular month. Should've done it years ago. Live & learn as they say. As for your set up, its the same as mine, except I have heat. Which is essential for concrete. So much more effective. Good luck.

Someone posted a nozzle vs flow chart on here a while a go.....do you think I can find it? NO! SOooooo, can anyone advise me on the optimum nozzle size for 8 gals @ 3000 psi? Cheers Mick.

Back again. Pump fitted Purring like an over fed kitten.. 3,000 @ 8 gals pm. Did a flow test, straight out of the hose, & it filled 2 x 20 litre buckets in 1 minute 10.seconds. Which works out to about 37 lts per minute. Soooo, is Interpump working on us gals, or UK imperial gals?

Thanks John. According to that formula, its saying I need 24 hp, but the pump spec says 14. It will give me 2900 psi @ 8 gals. I'm assuming you meant divided by, by / ?
-
It is, it is. They do have thrust bearings in them which is why the rotate so freely. So much less tension on the arms & wrist, its amazing,
-
Rodger that! I've got an 18 hp Briggs & Stratton. According to the specs, it only needs 14 hp. But its always good to be over powered.
