I can see using hot water to supply chems. helps some chemicals heat up. washing would need to be pretty close to have water be 130. about four inches away. water after about 11 inches is pretty cold. Hot water is better and more cost effective. the same results can be achived with cold and chemicals, just longer and more expensive. I have stoped hot water on verticle cleaning, due to fuel costs. I personally did not notice the difference. I will still continue hot with roofs. Heat doesnt affect my chemicals i curently use on roofs or flat surface.

Yeah, you wont be going down the hwy dragging 200 ft of hose either.

you need a different unloader, you can get more gpm if you can work with lower pressure.

I would say its there choice, but in my opinion you or anyone else that chooses not to carry is disadvataged. Don has the right idea, I have insurance and i use this method while i was a one man band years back. Lots of companys use this small and large.

i have another freind, he saw your photos John. He has done this building in the past. He said about 4000 a day. He's not bidding the build was sold about 2 years ago and he has no relations with new mang. He did say they used to was it every year, he said he didnt think its been washed for sometime now. travel, its only about and hour to was 3500 under regular maint. 90 days not regular. So you have a minumum reguardless. I'm not staying at a place for 20 and hour. this is a two to three hour clean up.

Its closer to 275.00 to 325.00 agreed, theres always someone who thinks they are faster and better.

I appreciate Don for posting leads on the bbs. I have done this from time too time. I have to agree that for 200.00 this is a very low price to do the job correctly. Of course contractors will figure this out on there own and trim the quality. Therefore in the end it gives the legitimate guys a bad name. I’m sure the first time they will pay commercial service to clean the stores. Then go home and figure out they lost about 50 per unit, next time they come out they fly thru them doing a substandard job. Who really looses? Well the customer the contractors and commercial. National accounts are wonderful; I have a few large ones that I clean for a publicly traded company even larger than commercial services. Funny when they approached me they gave me the price. I laughed; they said what’s so funny? I said could I just send them a check and stay home. They were actually looking for someone who knew that the price they had given was not correct. (The rest is know three years of history) I’m not saying that commercial is looking for this, I might bring it to there attention. I feel the pain of fellow contractors on these issues, I just don’t have time to suffer.

Good topic, can't and dont want to believe some of these answers. You guys complain about fly by nite people and maybe half the BBS is. another observation, two nicknames in 1 and 2 only has two full names. I have not read all the posts, don’t have time. Even if I lived in a state and I do, if you’re self employed you’re not required to have workers comp for yourself. I'm here to tell you that I would not except a wavier: I would ask you to get WC. If you told me I’m exempt and I won’t get it, even if the law said you didn’t need it I would either let you go or never hire you. Believe me I have been told my price was more than acme but I have all the insurance and they refused to get it. ( I got the work) numerous times. Get it, it’s not that big of a deal…………..

To some degree, Its not always about price. they will often over pay because they are trying to let say find loyalty. unlike you we do have many people doing teh same service we do. I have watched many come and go. I admit I ready spend alittle time fishing,camping & hunting. cant do that in the city.

Some off us want to move to small towns. really tough when you think about the life style change. Pro & cons in both directions. I suppose what keeps me here is the money and culture. I would mind leaving the doors unlocked.
