  1. Beth, only time will tell that story. I'm glad your interest as a member to be a watch dog is going to be active. Maybe you have time to be on oversight team? Don't say yes or no today but know if I get elected I will be calling.

Phone issues, Beth I cannot control parties that play games on telephones. I can only hope that my administration doesn't get caught in all the negativity. I will not mandate like past leadership do not talk to members like me because they are afraid because they spread false ideology.

If we are true and the truth is what we will be all about there will be no worries about that Gang affecting this org. I appreciate your concerns, I had always thought a leader telling his other leaders not to talk to members via phone is a bad idea.

I re-call Paul Horsely telling his BOD not to post on web bulletin Boards. WHY??? Because if negativity...LOL

We will build something now that no one can be negative about, Problem SOLVED

I would be embarrassed if we accomplished anything else. My BOD will be public kissing babies and representing this industry at many end user shows. We will be vary active in all aspects of this industry, maybe will see you at a wood show. Maybe you can man a ***** booth?

Ron, is it easy or difficult for you to be open minded and objective, to listen to other ideas without dominating the conversation?

You don't have to answer this aloud, but you need to look inside of yourself. And, can you let the majority on a BOD who may vote opposing what you want, can you let that be the decision and final word? Because it come down to votes. BOD's do business during meetings. The back woods on the phone crap has GOT to stop. You get onto the BOD call, you follow the agenda, you make your motions and vote your items, following Roberts Rules of Order. You record minutes and they are public with a show of how everyone voted and what was discussed. Be ready Ron, because I'll demand it. You say you want the best, well that's a pretty high standard, one I know how to measure and some of us...will hold you to it more than I think you will like.

Don't take this the wrong way. Just consider it.

    Beth

  2. DING DING DING DING DING!!!!!!!!!

Ron, if you run and get elected, you do realize I hope that you are just one person, and that the group input and decisions via vote are not going to all be in agreement wit you. You do realize that you can't just load the BOD with who you want to serve. I would hope you remember when PWNA had a problem with a bully/dictator at the post of president. Forgive me, but you have such a strong "my way or the high way" personality that I can see your hard work becoming obsessive and taking you down the same path. How can you convince us otherwise that after seeing years of these types of your posts and many phone calls, that it will not be this way? Just asking.

    Beth

Beth those issues of things unjust , when corruption is present I'm not going to turn my head the other way. Often many have here in the past to only end up where we are now.

Beth I'm just a servant of the industry in this spot. Since I do that in my Everyday life I'm over qualified for this job. Of course my largest plan is to distribute a process at which all members can contribute ideas. A open door policy think tank lets say. No promises we can make each idea happen but I'm a believer that I don't have all the answers, old say two heads are better than one. Well hundreds should be great!!

  3. Have you been nominated Charlie? I did see you listed on Ron's Dream Team.

Celeste since we know others will be running the list will be waiting to nominate. There are four people on the list that are running regardless of who shows up to run.

The list is a great bunch of guys , some of them I called and others called me. Actually I have 30 more who said they would assist.

It's like people want things done them when someone does something it's all about corruption.

    A master plan!! LolđŸ˜±

Yes I have ideas and things I will do as the leader of this org. If your intentions are to stop progress and that's why you want to serve bad idea.

I'm going to move and shake this industry up for the good of contractors. That's what my past record has shown, my future record will show more.

I seen you joined up Celeste , hope you and Roger the best and hope together we can work with you and the PWNC ***** to better the industry one contractor member at a time.

ok Ron, I have a question for you.

    Why?

What do you hope to do with the org?

How well can you work with a board to get consensus on things that need to be done?

    Why now?

    Florida027.jpg

Jon, because our industry has been in the stone ages. When the last time you heard anyone get a job because of any org ? Simple through our mutual efforts at NCE we have exploded the paver sealing industry privately with Sealnlock. Your efforts and relations started all that, I don't forget things Jon. 2008 you brought Rich and his guys running through the door along with Richy Jr. with a check waiving about how much they made. Jon we as people and comrades just do not do enough to promote our own industry. Paver sealing industry grew and so did Jon's business. 48d0aa61-1526-84d1.jpg48d0aa61-1405-d94a.jpgIt in-fact has not hurt you but has put you on the top of the heap in paver sealing. Guys at the Phoenix meeting know you and people from around the country call you to get referrals.

I hope to make a place all contractors can accomplish what we have done. So the industry can grow and flourish for those who have worked hard like yourself. Assist the leaders like you grow and make more money leading the way and stay at the top separating you from the rest.

How can you help? Easy just ask us what you want, I plan on having a request form for all members to ask directly to the BOD. We will have a review for all ideas and possibly ask the member help make there needs a reality.

We as business people ask our customers from time to time how we are doing and if there's anyway we can better our service. As president i will listen not just pretend, but like you gave me your honest answer I will shoot straight with each member, not everyones suggestions will be able to do. The ones the entire Bod thinks are valuable we will move on. One day maybe with the money resources we can make the majority happy. Right now we are limited and thats the reality.

This org will have a paver sealing and restorations program If your wondering. I was hoping you actually could help? maybe in the future when your ready we will get your support because your my number one choice. Its not a secret i reached out to you the other day for this, I truly appreciate your candor for thinking I'm nuts and why spoil the good things i have already done and able to do on my own. You see i don't see being president stopping me from moving forward i see it as this might speed up the evolution of this entire industry moving forward.

The industry has gotten better and people are writing and educated customers and contractors much better than they where five years ago.

I plan in giving all contractors a questioner to fill out. We as leaders will read these and come up with a game plan to make suggestions reality.

  5. Are you going to hire an editor for your posts?

Any org business someone will re-write my documents. Just like in my business I have staff that see my punctuation is correct. Posting on and Internet bbs I'm going to just be the same guy I have always been. Most pw guys are not road scholars or liberal arts majors.

I think my ability to spell or writes not going to hinder my ability to serve my fellow contractors. It's a weakness I know and when I need help I'll get someone to assist.

No press release from the bod will go out to members without approval steps of editing. Everyone can make mistakes no matter how well you may think you write.

Speaking of mess have you read the website? I stopped reading after a few paragraphs so much incorrect things that even I saw it.

I was wondering who might have done that, no one person if I'm president will control any of that. Systems and procedures need implemented so the industry can raise the standards.

Does roger own a tie? If I'm in charge the entire bod and committee members will photo in formal attire.

Bod members will have to travel at the start on there own dime. I plan on representation at the world of concrete in jan and apartment show in feb.

The bod I have assembled and understand that we are going to move and not stop moving. It's not going to be like the past.

  6. Thanks Jerry Lets Rock and Roll

    Ron,

the people that know you, won't have many questions..

    that's why you'll be a great Pres..

    You put answers before questions.

Coaching is a great way to teach and lead.. everyone has more fun !

Only someone that already runs a "turn-Key" business also has time for that.

You have LOTS of success and knowledge to share.

Anyone with a positive attitude can already see this in the posts you've placed in these blogs over the many years.

As we live in an "addictive society".. you seem to be addicted to coaching.

    Lead ON brother-man !

  7. Better get back to cars and midlife crisis, I almost bought a scion. True story. Instead I paid way to much for a smart car Prius. I also got two Toyota trucks, I like them so far.

I guess it is midlife crisis , when I was younger they would have been a Cadillac truck that burns 2000 a month in fuel. No more expensive break jobs on my Mercedes or ridiculous priced oil changes.

Maybe I'm in denial about midlife, I have never had the urge for a vet.

I guess if I ran across a 68 firebird convertible I might buy it. Only because my father had one and loved riding in it as a kid.

Maybe for me the thread tittle would be a dream car.

  8. Maybe John T told him if he gets enough hits he will install the green dots?????

Maybe the hit count is part of the mid-life "thing".

You know, Jim, I've lost a lot of weight. I make a lot of recipes. Here's a recipe I just threw together that might help.

In a large bowl mix 1 part self esteem with two parts humility, no, make that 3 parts humility.

Mix a cup of patience, with a pinch of understanding and set it aside for later.

Very slowly add in experience, not too fast.

Avoid the temptation to embellish with extra seasonings of BS or overwhelm the dish with too much condescension. (This is a rookie baker mistake)

Add in the cup of patience and understanding and bake all ingredients for 2 years in the forum oven without interruption. (No bans, no pulling out and whining because it's not done yet and no lying about the ingredients just to stay ahead of your competition and look good. (It doesn't work, even though you might think it does)

Remove from the oven and top with the respect you earned by helping others without whining, complaining, lying, cheating, embellishing, gossiping, investigating, or tearing down other contractors behind their backs during the two years baking.

Let cool for 1 year, then enjoy your position as Master baker.

Just like with any dish, miss any steps and you have to start all over again.

Let us know when you want to start. We'll all be behind you hoping you make it all three years. I'll be there too. The recipe you've been using hasn't worked for you or anyone else. Good luck!

One of his competitors just landed a 10 mil plus contract. Who do you want to listen too. Lol

    Money talks bull**** walks.

  9. Cool Stuff Tom, didn't see this Hope your doing Well

(Forgive me for the lengthy preliminary)

I recently completed a project for a personal friend of mine. I restored his deck from start to finish, washed his house, cleaned his concrete and removed mold from his roof. For me it was just another “day at the office.” For my friend however (who owns a car dealership and watched me like a hawk the entire time I was working) it was a revelation into how much really goes into what I do.

Like a lot of people, he just thought it was a matter of renting or buying a small machine and “firing away” at whatever was dirty. He was astonished at all the little tricks of the trade, techniques in cleaning, chemical usage, type and application and variations in pressure based on what I was cleaning that went into the job. He was also quite impressed with the efficiency in completing all that I cleaned as well as stained. No lap marks, drips, runs or stain on anything but the deck for example not to mention all the different wands, tips, attachments and ways to wash.

My friend up until that point had always underestimated the power washing PROFESSION and all that it entails.

His insight relating to the intricacies of what I know and what I do reminded me of two things. A) How much I REALLY do know and now take for granted and B) What it took to get this far.

Working for yourself has a lot of advantages which I’m sure most of you are already aware of. There are also some disadvantages that go along with being the boss though!

One of those disadvantages is not having a “go to guy” in time of trouble. When I worked for the cable company, I just called my sup or DM when I got stuck. When you’re the boss though, you ARE the go to guy.

Which leads me to the crux of this letter and that is this

.

    Thank you!

Thank you to all of you that picked up the phone, took the time to listen to my questions or problems and gave me the help and advice that I needed when I needed it most. Thank you for being my GOTO guy(s) when I was stuck on a job, when I was putting together a bid for something I had never cleaned before, when I wasn’t sure which chem. or nozzle to use, when I wasn’t quite sure on the right way to do it, when I had a question on how something worked or went together or came off, When I didn't know how much to charge, when I didn't know about limiting my pressure or what "fuzzies" were, when I needed advice on advertising or hiring or insurance or

????????

The list goes on and on and on.

I really got to thinking about how everything that I now know came from a source from someone that had already been there, done that. Oh sure, I paid my due diligence and read just about every book I could get my hands on, watched videos, etc. but so much of what I am today is a direct result of those that took the time to help me along my way.

Although I could never list every single name of every single person that has every answered a question, called me up, PM’ed me on a board, sent an email or just replied to a post, I would like to say thank you to those of you that come to mind as being instrumental in making me the power washer and exterior restoration business owner that I am today.

    Thank you,

    Matt Johnson

    Pierce Fitchet

    Rick McGowan

    Mark from X-tream Power washing

    and

All of you that have ever called me, replied to or PM’ed me from a post.

And a special thank you to those of you that I would consider my A-Team. Those of you that allowed me to adopt you as my mentor and got me through some very rough growing pains and to whom I will always be grateful to for your helpfulness, courtesy, patience, experience, knowledge and professionalism
..

    Thank you,

    Henry Bockman

    Everett Abrams

    Tony Szabo

    Pete Marentay

    Traci Handi

You guys have spent hours on the phone with me over the years answering my questions, walking me through problems on the job and encouraging me to hang in there and I thought it was about time I let you know that it was and is greatly appreciated!

(PS- you’re still in my speed dial and I still don’t have all the answers to be prepared!)

    Sincerely,

  10. Nice Name Rick

I'm shut down and the phone recording states " Thanks for calling Pro Power. We are closed for the season, bla bla bla." but people are still leaving messages to see if I can do small jobs. I just set them up for the start of April, my 19th year in business. I never thought I'd be doing it this long.

  11. John it was clear you would be reinstated if if you complained about your request to anything related to your self ban.

I have noted this post in Admin area, no one on staff will ever mess with anyones private info. I do not even think its possible.

    Do it yourself

Can one of you *** mods clear out my in box on ***? Since I voluntarily had my controls removed and the ability to access my account any mod that goes into my private PM you have my permission if you need that to access and read any PM you see in there. If there is something of importance in there that you deem it to be certainly feel free to contact me about it. I never mind lending a helping hand if I can.

Also if it's possible so I won't be a bother to anyone feel free to suspend my access permanently. This is all my request and not because someone did this to me.. It was just time for me to move on... Thanks.

Below is a copy of an email I just received on ***.... I'll take out the company's name who is PMing me in there.

    Thanks.

    John T.
