  1. John's post notwithstanding - no. I don't feel the need to publish a private email between myself and another person.

Sorry Celeste, not the Email personally you got. Simply her address so I can thank her personally also. What she did was a good thing, I never had anything agaist this like Johns keeps promoting.

I understand, have a great day.

  2. I received a very nice email from Mrs. Tosetti today - I had written a thank you for her efforts, not expecting a response. What a lovely surprise :)

She is a very special lady, John. You are fortunate to have met her!

    Celeste

Celeste could you send the Email, I would love to thank her personally also. She did a nice thing, *** would love to do something for her or of the charities she supports.

    Thanks In Advance,

  3. I was certified in the environmental end thru the PWNA but it expired. I also was wood restoration certified back in the day thru the PWNA and in that classroom I met Brian Penney and Matt Johnson and a few others. That was a good class. EA taught it and it had a good crowd in there... The surprise back then was Tony Szabo's Power washers 101 class. That one filled the room where there was no more room to get in.

I think those were all at the same convention.

Tony is washing roofs now , doing pretty well I heard.

  4. John love and Update if your out there buddy, thinking about your family

Here is the original thread to get some up to speed. :(

6.7oz 1 day old, Please pray for my little guy - Pressure Washing Institute

    To my Pressure Washing Family,

This past week has been one of the hardest weeks we have ever experienced, With my wife still recovering from the C-section, and me running back, and forth to take care of the little one we already have, and visiting Landon, I am utterly, incomprehensively, exhausted.

Being strong for my wife, and family throughout this whole ordeal has been the most difficult task I have ever had to accomplish. I showed her all the sincere, and kind words that my second family here at *** has expressed, and she was very moved.

I unfortunately am shutting down work, for the next few months to be there for my family. Some of you know that during the holiday season, I hang Christmas lights, and have a very large customer base. This year however I am not going to be doing that.

I have subbed out some work, and made a little money, but I know with the long term effects baby Landon is going have, I am going to need to be home more.

I am incredibly embarrassed in asking this, But I have no other options as of this moment, My local church is taking some donations. and Unfortunately I am going to have to ask my family here at *** for some as well.

The baby was taken off life support yesterday morning, and we took plenty of pictures, and were able to hold him for the first time, Unfortunately his vitals took a turn for the worst last night, and he was re intubated.

He has been Diagnosed, with RDS ( Respitory Distress Syndrome) as well as heart condition called Pulmonary Hypertension Ventrical Disorder. Meaning his heart is not pumping enough blood to the lungs, to transfer the oxygen. He has had 2 blood transfusions thus far.

They will be performing a heart surgery tomorrow to open the vertical leading to his lungs.

The doctors have said that this surgery should help him breath on his own better, and that the recovery should be quicker. Unfortunately he will be in the NICU for at least another month or more it all depends on him.

I am mentally tired, depressed, and to weak to push my self to fulfill and jobs that I had scheduled for the month.

So I am unfortunately asking, for help.

Anything at all will help, I just Need a push. As a business owner, I was not prepared for this downfall, and the cushion we had is slowly deteriorating.

    My address is:

    Mr & Mrs John Al-jazrawi

    159 Camellia St

    Sugar Land, TX 77478

I will be eternally grateful to any donations made to me, and my family.

As Pat mentioned in the last thread, the baby was on a paralytic, and managed to squeeze my wife’s hand. That was an amazing gift from god

Here are some pictures, God bless all of you for all your support. And thank you for your continued prayers.

Again, this is very embarrassing, for me I feel like I have failed as a father and Husband

  5. I want to plan on getting to one of them. We have to see which one I can work in!!

This is some advice when looking for a good event.

We made a lot of mistakes running Nce, one of the largest was having speakers from our own industry have short speaking time.

I would look for seminars with training and real certifications.

Also we are going to have mini events and appearances with major speakers outside the industry to help build your business to success.

With that said I'm not telling anyone not to attend a contractor oriented meeting, these are great if the networking with others is you thing then go for it.

Social events are great and you will have fun.

We want to have fun in the next 2 years along with raising the standards of the industry as a whole.

  6. This has been a challenging, but fruitful season. The weather was very wet, we lost more than the usual number of days due to rain and humid conditions.

But overall, it was a good season. Did some very high end work for wonderful new customers, and the numbers should come out close to last season, our best ever. The biggest plus of this year was finally delving into the wood siding house restoration market. Finished up a long waiting mahogany stain today, and stripped but cannot logically stain a nice cedar job until next spring. The wood will not dry out.

So good by to the wood restoration season for 2011. The book for 2012 is the best ever, so its time to rest, recuperate, and have some fun! If that is possible in winter ...

Good stuff, unfortunately dec & jan is my busiest time of the year. More revenue each jan for the last 14 years.

Don't know what I do if I had to relax all winter.

    Enjoy I'll be washing

  7. Tony everyone needs others to help

Don't let the PWNA be the only voice, they have many helping them, Ron and a couple guys shouldnt have to do it alone. Tony do it for the children....your children who are in the business, your children that you take care of with your business all our children. I still cannot believe in the 11th hours you are just saying the heck with it

He supports us, he is busy running his empire. Seriously Jeff we are good. Things will work out they always do.

We remain positive it's all going to work out.

This old plan has brought gloom on everyone who has touched it. Do we start naming casualty's who will never come forward who have been affected.

Look at it like this, the distributor who started the Houston is gone. The industry black balled her by sgt welsh's own words on video.

We have watched this plan fail at every turn. What's making the difference now? Point a few people with different philosophy to the committee? This might be the best thing that ever happened.

I really think Jim is a great asset, he does understand outfall and recently talked about interceptors. Shoot two years ago these didn't even exist in his eyes. Now he has developed understanding for this who knows what other avenues might open up.

Good luck to the Pwna , they will keep spreading the word and will keep training contractors. We can only be stronger together. In the end I will work with anyone willing no matter my personal feelings.

Contractors needs someone to rely on.

By the way I do commend Jim for helping new guys. I know a few he has helped. He knows how to clean garages. Just because we might not clean the same doesn't make a difference to me. If the end result is a better environment and profit then the day is good.

  8. This is exactly why you should run for the ***** BOD. Only another org can try to correct & stop what the PWNA is creating. Give it a thought Tony, not a minute or two but long hard thought. Do you really want only the PWNA talking?

Jeff with or with out the ***** or any other org we do have a voice. Neither the Pwna Ceta or any other org have resources or knowledge to do much of anything if we work with our own local authority. Ft worth is changing , these people do understand past mistakes made by people and our past leaders. Selling this if we have a great awareness program and spread it will make a difference. Jeff you have learned a ton. You have essentially worked with the only coalition state that I'm aware of. Florida is producing the same and following clemsons lead. Texas has hired a third party to educate awareness for contractors because of what happen in houston to the lack of industry awareness.

Jeff I'm from a different point of view. Rely on yourself like you always have. I want ***** to educate properly so contractors become weapons against anyone hurting there revenue stream.

  9. Jim by the way I tried returning your call from last week, says your numbers been disconnected. I know that can't be so I must have a different number. Anyway I live in Santa Monica part-time now stop in we are only a few hours a way. I'll buy you lunch if you can find the time. The beach is only a few blocks. I'm liking California !!

I know you got a monster rig and Santa Monica is tight on parking, no worries I can park about 20 of your units at my place secure. So don't let that stop you if your in the neighborhood.

Will start doing videos from the property in January if all goes well. Maybe you could feature your beast in a video? Let us know

  10. Just got your voice message Ron,

Thanks for your support in my new position.

I heard that you gave your support and influence to the powers to be on my appointment, saying that I would be a good choice for the western USA. I know that through your numerous and lengthy calls to Robert and to the Board members of the PWNA, that they well received your recommendation on the matter.

    Again, Thanks for you support.

Jim since your now the head cheese and likely the choice to take over after robert really retires you should elaborate on your plans and direction you intend on taking us all.

Will you be working with Ceta , do you have your burners registered to use legally in the state of California? I suppose so since you are aware of water issues I suppose you meet all clean air also.

Please give us a short view of what you think can be accomplished as western director for the entire national association?

People really want to know? I know I'm all ears.

  11. Hey anytime Jim. Hope to see you again at another Convention..maybe the next PWNA big dance. Good luck in your new position.. Your going to have alot of backing when you meet up with the powers that are influential in making the laws. Should be interesting.

Looking forward to publicly here Jim's own thoughts on how Developement of the west coast will go.

Since John has verified to me Pwna is a non profit then we should have regular updates on eviro awareness they are planning.

  12. So if I am understanding this right, if one wants to be appointed to a leadership role in the org all you have to do is "not" join. (And be banned from most of the industry boards)

On the other hand if you want the directors to fly someone to your city and count your rigs and call your competitors all you have to do is join.

Where do I sign up? :)

I have the only Pwna verified certified pw business. It's actually and honor!! I may make a badge!

  13. Great stuff Jack, look forward to meeting you

I’m co hosting the seminar in Albany New York with Matt Johnson. We are calling it a “Seminar” as it will be much bigger that a round table and in many ways it will rival a conference. Education classes will be available the two days prior to the seminar.

If you would like to be added to our mailing list please email me at JKramer@pwseminar.com.

    Much more information to follow!

John, hope you can make it, I look forward to you trying to dethrone the hose rolling champion.

EA is the wood guy, he adds credibility to the cert. for sure.

  15. Thats great Basic info Lost in a post

    Here are a few suggestions....

    1. pick a date - allow yourself a good 30 daysin advance of the meeting, and watch out for holidays and sporting events (been there done that!)

    2. find a location - a quiet restaurant works well, one with a meeting room. talk to them ans secure the room.

    3. call everyeone in the phone book, anyone you have flyers or ads for, anyone you see who advertises in the paper. Also post the info on all the BBS's you can.

    4. invite a vendor to come in and demo equipment. Invite guys to drive in their rigs. Put toghether an agenda of thisngs to discuss.

    5. do follow up and reminder calls with those you invite and alos email and fax them info. People like to have something in their hands - everyone is so busy it will often be forgotten otherwise, very innocently.
