  2. going full time

Thanks Jarrod and Jeff. I will let you know how it works out. I have been meaning to call Jarrod. Maybe this week.
  3. I have an 18" whirl-a-way surface cleaner. I was using it yesterday and noticed i had to walk way to slow and as time went on it got slower and finally the bar stopped spinning. I flipped it over and water gushes out of a smalle hole on the bottom of the rotary head. I found a post saying to rebuild the head but i have one question. What does the kit come with because i cant see any seals to replace. Once i took the spray bar assembly out you can look up in the head and see the pressure hose screwed in, and the spray bar assembly just butts up to it, there is no seal in between. Is that right? Plus my bearings seem to have dirt in them as they are kind of rough. This unit has about 5 hours on it. Peice of crap. Any advice would be great. P.S. I know the best advice is to buy a better surface cleaner. But i need to fix this one.
  4. Thank you scott. I will call tracy tomorrow. Camelot, i checked my nozzles when this was all going on and it was fine. I will let you know how this turns out. thanks again
  5. First Time Home Buying Financing

Find a good buyers agent that will fit your needs. They will treat you right knowing that more than likely you will buy and sell a few times thru your time and if they make a good experience for you, they bank on you calling them up again to help you out. Dont contact the agent selling the house because they just want to sell it to anybody, avoid the dual agent, where they represent you and the seller. As far as the Financing, my point of veiw is if the bank wont give you a loan at a good interst rate ect.....real estate has become huge the past years that if one bank wont do it, there is one that will. Do your checks and balances for financing. Good luck. My personal experience: by a fixer upper and do it yourself if your handy. Can be a hassle during the process but in the end when you see the numbers you will forget all pain!! I have dont it twice in the past 3 years and have had awesome return.

  8. God help me

Congrats Jeff, I have 2 girls, ones 4 and the other is almost 2. Just remember, YOU shape them, if you want her to like guns then there is a pretty good chance she will. of course you cant avoid free will but girls are fun, atleast for now. i will get back to you in 10 years or so and let you know how it is going.
  9. Other Half

Eads, What is your marketing plan, i have been reading on here for about9-10 months now and finally opened my doors and only have one job to do and its the only one so far this year. If i had a good marketing sense i would be on my own by now. Once you firgure things out and how to do them the only person that slows you down looks back at you in the mirror everyday, as soon as you can defeat that guy you are good to go. It sounds as though you have but your wife is still a little worried. Work on her and go to work.
  10. Arsenic

Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but as far as i know arsnic is no longer used as a wood preservative, it has been 5-6 years since they have used it. Now they use some copper based stuff for sealing i think.
  11. I need some help please

Hey, try "Saferestore" from Echochem. There is a window cleaning company in Minneapolis that uses it to remove silicone, paint, glue and what ever else. I talked the them 2 days ago about this. Give them a call and ask, the stuff is spendy though. 25.00 bucks a gallon or so. Let me know if you need some contact info for them and i will dig it up for you
  12. My burner is smoking really, really, really bad. it is a solid black stream. I held the trigger for about a minute and the water was only luke warm also. The air band is all the way open so could this be the problem? I am running number 1 diesel in it. Last year with kerosense it wasnt as bad. But regardless, it should still be OK with diesel. What else can i check or do. Thank you all in advance. By the way, this is a Hydrotec 3500 psi @ 4.6 with a beckett burner.
  13. I bought the machine used with 1200 hours on it so i have no clue. For the cost of a nozzle i think that will be my next try. what do you think
  14. I just fired it up and there was no difference after monkeying with the plunger. Now What?
  15. OOPS, forgot to mention that i did take that out and the plunger moved freely. Now that i think of it it was hard to get to move at first so maybe it was stuck a little bit, i didnt try firing it after that. I will go fire it up right now.
  16. OK, i took the burner apart and power washed it, it left my driveway a solid black, along with me. Anyway, I put it all back togather and it smokes a little bit, so cleaning fixed most of it. Now it still smokes a little bit, the fuel pressure screw is all the way out and the air band still has to be all the way open. I think i still might have some airflow issues. Any other suggestions? The squirrel cage spins but i did not take it apart to check its condition. Other than that i am out of ideas as far as air flow. I might buy a new fuel nozzle and change that out to ensure i am getting a good spray pattern.
  17. Thanks Phillip, i think we found the problem. I am going to take out the coil and power wash it tomorrow and then we will see what happens. In two of the pics you can see the HEAD end of the coil and there is a piece of metal covering the middle, is this normal or should that not be there. You can see what i am talking about in the picture, it is the two pictures that have all the rought edges. thanks for all the help
  18. this is a horizontal burner, i will try cleaning the coil and see what happens. Something along the way kept getting worse as the air band was all the way open when i bought the machine. I will clean it and hope for the best. any other advice or opinions would be great
  19. more pics, never mind the lables, somehow i got the picture descriptions screwed up
  20. restricted air do to soot, let me know what you think of these. I took the burner apart a minute ago and found part of the casing melted, chunks of soot and metal at the bottom of the coil, and soot about an 1/8 inch thick or so on everything. I am thinking is cant breath or my nozzle is not atomizing very well. I was a Jet Mechanic in the Air Force and cant fix this, same principals but i just dont know the parts and trends. Let me know what you think of the pics
  21. I tried turning the fuel pressure screw out and in and everywhere in between. I also played with the air band, it was full open to start and made no difference when i closed it and reopened it so it is not an air problem as far as i know. I checked the battery and it is fully charged. Any more ideas please!!!
  22. I will try backing out the screw tomorrow, there were no other issues, When i first got it it had kerosene in the tank and it would puff a little when you first pulled the trigger, but now that i have diesel in it, it smokes really bad. Other than that, no symptoms. I just charged the battery 2 days ago so that is good to go. Any other ideas, in the mean time , i will play with the fuel pressure screw on the pump
  23. Magnetic Business Cards

    vistaprint.com i just had 250 make for 37 bucks about .15 each
  24. Big oops! What should I do?

hard to explain how to replace siding in words but here it goes. Cut the damaged piece in half the linear way, with the new piece, cut the locking lip off the top, slide it in place and you have to use pin nails to secure it. Like someone stated earlier, do a search. hope this will help. if not, give me a call as i have done some siding. 715-308-4941.
  25. Does anybody know where to buy lances of say.........9 or 10 feet. I found some 8 footers but that is it.
