Thanks for the info, i think i will try to make one. I looked at northern tool and higherpowerssupply.com and found none over 5 feet. Making one might be my best bet. thanks

thanks for the clarification Mike

gotcha. does that work the same when using the proportioners too.
-
that is what he was asking Mike, what will his ratio be with his specific machine, that is what the chart tells. Unless i am missing something from his question. If you use the M5 with no proportioner using a 3gpm machine your ration will be 1.2 gallons water to 1 gallon of soap. Hope this helps

go to www.rowlettpressure.com and you can print the chart that will give you your exact draw rate based on psi and gpm. I am sure you could get it from www.xterior.com also. Let me know, if need be i can fax or email it to you

I could write alot about this stuff. My wife and i try to be pretty healthy. One of the things that really put us in gear was looking into colon cleansing, if you look into it you will want to use your power washer for an all new purpose. We eat all organic and natural foods and grow as much as we can in our garden. It can get expensive and it is harder to stay alive than it is to die. I can forward info to anyone who wants to do some searching. Great post to get started.

Favorite House was Mixtures
JBenson replied to Jonathan Chiplock's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Nope, not going to walk pulling 10000 lbs of equipment. If horses were allowed on the freeway i might have some alternatives. Not looking to be shamed for looking to experienced contractors if they have had any luck with an alternative to bleach. I know what your getting at though Barry, there will always be a negative to every positive. -
Favorite House was Mixtures
JBenson replied to Jonathan Chiplock's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I understand it is extremely effective at killing mold and such, I know it is bad for me, water, the ground and pretty much everything else. I know to pretect myself and plants and so one but even diluted i just wonder what any long term negatives are. I have heard of oxginated bleach that is not nearly as bad but dont know if it is as effective. Just wondering if there are any other alternatives. thanks for the replies -
Favorite House was Mixtures
JBenson replied to Jonathan Chiplock's question in Residential Pressure Washing
is the bleach necessary in any mix. I know eplus and others claim to remove mold and mildew alone. I hate bleach, that is why i ask, nasty stuff. Does anyone know of a bleach free cleaner that is effective -
and those are the facts

I am about an hour east of Minneapolis/St. paul. We are on the west central edge of the state. I need to edit my profile, when i registered my company and first got started i had planned on setting up a box van with a conventional sand blast system for doing what ever work needed to be done. My great uncle does highway work and he said there is a huge demand for sandblasting for paint prep on bridges ect.... so that is where my idea originated and i still may do it, we will see how the powerwashing goes. I will definately do it if i can find a good employee to keep busy everyday. Roger, i think if a cat tried getting in the tree with me, that would be the end of my hunting for a while, anything that stalks and hunts me scares me.....lol How did you get rid of it?

thanks for the compliments! It is definately relaxing after working all day. We just sanded the wood really well and put a satin finish polyurethane one it. It is all Maple wood. You could shoot a deer out either window on any given day, or a turkey or a pheasant and on a few rare occasions even a bear. Havnt seen any cats but you can hear them scream at night, that is a bone chilling sound when they get going.

A real good reason to get up early in the morning
JBenson replied to PWkid's question in The Club House
My uncle is a pro walleye fisherman and he has a Ranger boat with a 225 hp E-Tec and he loves it. Granted he is sponsored by both of the companies. He won the world championship in 2004 and was angler of the year last year. Nick Johnson is his name if anybody follows fishing at all, he has done a few fishing shows on some of the outdoor channels. Anyway he said the motor is great and wouldnt want anyother due to warranties and that the new 4 stroke motors cant hang with the 2 strokes. He was the first to win a championship with an evinrude motor. Yup that is my story -
Has anyone heard of Leafgauard raingutters by Englert. They originated on the east coast so some of you might know. What do you think of them

Has anybody had any experience, goog or bad, with hosetract stackable hose reels. I am in the market for reels and have been eyeballing these. Any advice would be appreciated as i am a first time buyer. thank you
-
Thanks for the input guys. I think i will get them. Sunbrite quoted me 170 bucks for the 250 ft capacity stackables. From what i can tell this is a pretty good price

Has anyone used Krud Kutter. How is it on brick with black stains or any other surface. Any info would be great as i havnt found a good chem to use for general cleaning. thanks in advance

Do you guys and gals charge the same for commercial work and residential. I put togather a bid using residential pricing and it seems low. I know someone that works at this place and they pay 7000 grand a quarter for window cleaning. please help. thank you

thanks jeff. The building is 995 linear feet second story, 2000 sq ft of concrete and 1500 of it is a load dock so it is pretty dirty, almost black and 1235 linear feet of second story painted steel beams, just a bare structure. Oh and the building is all brick, only one side is moldy but all sides have a few black streaks below vents and other objects that hang on the building. I know markets are all different but maybe a ballpark figure or how you guys would bid it out. You can PM me or email at jesseandkim@chibardun.net thank you again

what is a good soap for cleaning red brick of black stains coming from the roof. Do you all charge the same for commercial. i could use help on pricing too

Arsenic poisoning
JBenson replied to Tronman's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
That is terrible, hope she is OK. Cleaner Times had an article in the most recent issue addressing the arsenic treated wood. Listed alot of tips for proper care and how to prevent health issues. -
Hey Carlos, could i get a copy of this, just started in the business and have a commercial building to bid and have not done this type of work. jesseandkim@chibardun.net thank you in advance

I recently washed a house with white vinyl siding, i used an X-jet. A couple days later i got a call about stains on the siding and i went to look and it was where water came out the weep holes in the bottom of the siding. It was mostly towards the top of the house so i imagine it has to do with the angle of the water as it hits the bottom of the siding and the lower your washing you hit the face of the siding head on. I spray with the seams and not into them so i know that is not where it gets in. This all came about after i left the homeowner happy. What did i do wrong and how do you prevent this. Thank you in advance. One more question, I can not get bug poop stains off the siding, i even scrubbed with a bristled brush and the homeowner swears they will come off but this has been on the siding for a long time, i think the stains penetrated the siding, what do you think.

I have the #5 nozzles for my machine, are you saying that changing the size of these nozzles is how you achieve this, so a #4 will give less pressure. If I am reading into this correctly wouldnt this put to much stress on the unloader, wouldnt it always be bypassing water. As far as the ladder stuff goes, here is what i gather If your comfortable spraying off a ladder go ahead and do it, if your not, dont. Am I close.
