Add burner/hot box for hot water
Paul Kassander replied to hpwasher's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
It will work to get you going where you want, you will need to get a 120v burner unless you have a 12v supply available that is at least 20 amps. Look around to find what you want. We do offer several types of industrial quality burners at very reasonable prices. Call if you have any questions. -
What should I use for 2 and 3rd story houses?
Paul Kassander replied to Rodgers12's question in Residential Pressure Washing
You may need a long lance like a 79" and use a large tip like that to soap. As long as is is not windy you should be able to reach with that machine. -

K9 unloader not unloading
Paul Kassander replied to john@AEC's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Check for debris in the unloder itself, a small piece can clog a port and cause that problem. It just happened to me with a K7, I cleaned it out ant it worked fine. It was a small piece of plastic way inside the center of the unloader, you could only see it from one of the ports. -
Here is a link to the pdf of a newer version of that unit. http://arnorthamerica.com/pw/KB2G15.pdf It may bean unloader issue with debris or scale buildup from sitting. We can help with parts if needed.

door bell ringing
Paul Kassander replied to southernclean's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I have had that happen before the chemicals act as a conductor and if the button is worn the contacts can be real close together. Once it dries it should be fine. -
"BE" pressure washers
Paul Kassander replied to bigragu714's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
It is the China knock off. We have had very good luck with them, no problems of any real significance, other than freight damage.(they don't bounce) Call anytime I am happy to answer any questions for you. -

Funny burner story and a lesson for us all...
Paul Kassander replied to Camelot's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Don't feel bad it happens more than you think. I have done the same thing and have had customers call with the same problem. Sometimes the obvious really isn't so obvious. -
It sounds like the insulation is missing in that area or was torn away during installation. I think you should have him put some in that area to prevent any problems, it isn't too bad to fix.

three way high pressure ball valve?
Paul Kassander replied to jnoden's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
You will need two trap style unloaders or you will have to install a check valve on the machine with the flow unloader(after the unloader). Once you link the machines you will also need a larger nozzle sized for the new flow and pressure you want to achieve. As far a linking the machines a three way ball valve has a common inlet and two separate outlets so it would not work to link the machines. What you want to do is install a T where the two feed lines come into the T and one outlet goes to your hose. If you want valves on them you would be better suited to install single ball valves. -
We have been selling them for years now and they are good cleaners for regular use, they seem to hold up quite well for the price. We also have our 20" and 24" cleaners on sale this month, take a look.

Thanks to the Vendors for the Alabama Round Table
Paul Kassander replied to Christopher's question in The Club House
On behalf of Envirospec and John Allison, you are welcome. We are glad we could help to support the event and hope that all who attended gained some valuable information. We will be hosting an event on mid June in Milwaukee as well and look forward to doing a little more to help the industry. -
If I can I would send someone out but that is usually not an option. Sometimes I will reschedule if I can most customers are understanding when you are sick. Otherwise I just slug it out and do the best I can.

You can install it on the high pressure side of the pump (top) prior to the unloader. It should only activate when the unit is under load then. If you are using a different unloader I am guessing it does not have a port for it and you have it installed the extra bypass port.
-
As long as the unlooader is rated for at least the specs of your pump it will work fine.
-
Check for junk first like MMI says also your unloader may be stuck in partial bypass mode, I would check a few more things before a switch. As far as the switch goes you can change them over, you will more than likely need a new pulley for the pump as they typically turn different RPM's and will have to drill some new holes for mounting the pump as they will not line up as well. If your unloader and other parts are still good you should be able to reuse them.

The info you find here is good and will give you insight from many perspectives, if someone tries to BS you about fifty people will jump on it. Do some research and reading, you will learn a lot to help your business and hurt your brain. -

Surface cleaner choice
Paul Kassander replied to Bilge Cleaner's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Not too sure about the brands we don't handle. I know Mosmatic makes a kit to convert just about any brand to their swivel. and steel eagle has the Dueblin swivel that has an available collar to convert others. -
