  1. backfiring BAD??

Sounds like it needs a valve job (adjustment).
  2. My New Baby Labs

Nice puppies I'm sure they will be a lot of fun. Just wait till they find the pool :lgbugeyes.
  3. YRL-50 and YRL-55 gun questions

    Same as the YRL50.
  4. Selling trailer rig question

1100 is the factor used for gasoline engines to determine the hp requirements. This is an excerpt from our technical library to help. Power Plants, Power Requirement Formulas Pressure washers are generally powered by gasoline engines, diesel engines, propane fired engines, or electric motors. Force created by the power plant turns the pressure pump, which in turn moves the water. A power plant must have enough force to continue to turn the pump crankshaft when the pump is pushing water out its rated flow and pressure. The following formulas are used to determine how much power is required to drive a specific pump. The power is measured in horsepower. GPM x PSI then divide by 1457 Equals EBHP (Electric Motor) GPM x PSI then divide by 1100 Equals Gasoline HP (Industrial) GPM x PSI then divide by 900 Equals Gasoline HP (Standard) GPM x PSI then divide by 1260 Equals Diesel HP Other useful formulas: HP x Constant then divided by GPM = PSI HP x Constant then divided by PSI = GPM
  5. Hot Box

No calls but I can see it happening. Most manufactures will just use what is required for the units they build so a simple elect start pressure washer may only have the minimum charging system on it to support the unit...they say why pay more for a larger system when it is not required on 100 units that may be a few grand. If you are having this problem I would first get a good deep cycle marine battery and see if that helps. Then I would get my charging system checked it may be large enough but just not functioning correctly. If it is too small you can upgrade it by getting a new stater for inside the flywheel that has a larger output and that should solve your problem. They aren't too hard to change if you are fairly mechanical, otherwise the local rental yard or lawn mower shop can do them and they are usually not to bad on labor charges. Another good idea I read from Dave at Roof Clean USA was to use a solar charger backup to charge the battery's. Seems to be a good idea since the equipment is out in the sun all day while you are working...
  6. Hot Box

They are easy to hook up. Most will come pre wired where all you have to do is hook up the power and water. The thing you need to make sure of is that you have a large enough charging system to support it to avoid various issues. We recommend a min of 20 amp.
  7. Combining two PWs

You would get 8gpm as long as you have the correct tip in. If you do this be sure you have a trap style unloader installed to prevent any back flow of pressure into either machine. They have a built in check valve.
  8. YRL-50 and YRL-55 gun questions

Definitely go with the lager ball when down streaming it is surprising the difference it makes in the draw of chemical.
  9. What unloader do you prefer?

We have them at $69.95. Unloader page on store. Flow Actuated (soft) Unloader, 2.4 -10.8 GPM, 3,600 PSI, 165˚ F, 3/8” FPT Inlet, 3/8” MPT Outlet, 3/8” FPT Bypass.
  10. What unloader do you prefer?

I have always used the K7 it is my unloader of choice. The K10 (K1) is also a good flow type unloader. We have them all here at the industry low price, and if you find it for less anywhere else we price match plus 5%.
  11. Hot Box and GPM

The larger burners have more coil usually 20-50 feet for more heat transfer (surface area) and are equipped with a SDC burner assembly (12v) or SF (120v) which have a larger blower fan and fuel nozzle for more btu's. Vertical burners are said to be more efficient in the heat transfer as well. If you are not looking for a lot of heat rise you could go with a smaller burner, it would just run longer or not shut off when hooked up to a higher volume unit.
  12. Similar thing happend to me last weekend ...

    Glad everyone is ok.
  13. We Need Your Prayers

Hugh, Our prayers are with you and wish you all the best in dealing with this.
  14. Unloader problem

if you have a leak or weeping gun it may also cause this problem as it is forcing some through the gun and some through bypass. Also if the unloader is adjusted to too high of a pressure this will exaggerate the problem. Make sure it is set to unload no higher than your operating pressure IE. 3000 psi.
  15. My Backyard

I like the pool, how is the L shape for maint and putting on the cover? Been thinking about putting one in for a few years.
  16. vacuboom vac motor went bad

If the foam gets up into the motors they will wear out relatively quickly. use some defoamer on the ground to prevent that from happening.
  17. vacuboom vac motor went bad

Yes they are available, give me a call and I can see what I can find for you.
  18. Prayer for Chris

That is a tragic loss our prayers are with him and his brothers family.
  19. NO on-site water

You can also check with local rental yards they usually have tanker trucks or trailers setup for watering you can use those and shuttle water yourself from wherever.
  20. Beckett Burner Wiring Diagram

Here are two different wiring diagrams one is for a simple setup one is for the units with the cad eye. The WR1 relay is probably not installed on your unit it is the "buffer" that helps to protect the burner from surges at startup.
  21. USS New York-built from World Trade Center

(from an email I received) A terrific remembrance! Here SHE is, the USS New York, made from the World Trade Center ! USS New York It was built with 24 tons of scrap steel from the World Trade Center .. It is the fifth in a new class of warship - designed for missions th at include special operations against terrorists. It will carry a crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines to be delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft. Steel from the World Trade Center was melted down in a foundry in Amite , LA to cast the ship's bow section. When it was poured into the molds on Sept 9, 2003, 'those big rough steelworkers treated it with total reverence,' recalled Navy Capt. Kevin Wensing, who was there. 'It was a spiritual moment for everybody there.' Junior Chavers, foundry operations manager, said that when the trade center steel first arrived, he touched it with his hand and the 'hair on my neck stood up.' 'It had a big meaning to it for all of us,' he said. 'They knocked us down. They can't keep us down. We're going to be back.' The ship's motto? 'Never Forget'
  22. K-7 Unloader

I agree for a flow unloader I think they are one of the best on the market. I have used them for over 12 years and rarely if ever have a problem. My rigs run 150' lengths plus about another 20' worth of jumper in the truck. I can add another 100+ feet without having to do anything to it as well. Like he said you need to set them correctly for them to work right.
  23. Should I Buy This ?

Same here have an '04 F550 with 5 injectors 2 turbos and the heads replaced in less than 28k. Great trucks for hauling and I love the way they drive. With that many miles the problems would have appeared by now though so you should be ok.
  24. is this a bad case of zebra stripes?

Thats what the national management company gets for their $100 wash job. That work is subbed out to local vendors. You can fix it, not sure if they ripped of some of the cream or just left behind a lot of dirt. But if you re-clean it with a detergent and surface cleaner you should be able to make it look right. (unlesss they stripped off the cream)
  25. With the lower flow machines the 1/4" hose is becoming popular due to its reduced weight. Cost is about the same as the 3/8" pressure hose and you can get it in non marking (Grey or blue) or standard black with pressure ratings up to 5800 psi and rated for hot water. This would be a good option for additional hose on a small unit like the TRX.
