Advice on new hot water pressure washer
Paul Kassander replied to PedroSD's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Either unit will work for you the Mi T M unit will be a little better unit overall. You may want to use something like this trx unit and hook up directly to the hot water supply in the restaurant. This setup is very popular with the hood cleaning guys. -
You can but it is quite involved. You need a new flywheel, stater(charging system), the voltage regulator and wiring, starter and some other parts, then you have your labor. Usually by the time you get all that stuff you are close to the cost of a new engine, sometimes more than the cost of a new one.

Oh I hate when that happens. What is worse is when you bring your tools and open the box to see that your employees took the tool you need out and forgot to put it back.

Safe for automotive finishes?
Paul Kassander replied to Damian Casillas's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Keep them rinsed just about any soap left on long enough even if it does not dry can damage the painted surface or discolor it slightly. I agree with Dave, pre wet the ones near the area you are washing and rinse them after you soap the wall. Then after you wash rinse them again or wash the ones that had over-spray. You should be ok without having to move them though, just be careful. -
Swivel casters for surface cleaner
Paul Kassander replied to Shane's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Did the mounting tabs break off on the surface cleaner? Not sure what you mean by mounts. The wheels come complete with the nut and bolt for mounting to the existing tabs on the cleaner. The picture just cuts off the swivel and mount bolt, they are all similar to this. -
2 Pressure Washers, 1 Hot Box
Paul Kassander replied to WashRite's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Just use a standard jumper hose to the length you need and a T to link them. This will only work with a pressure actuated unloader (trapped pressure) as they have a built in check valve. If you are trying to do this with a flow unloader it will not work. -
Applying Seal :Rollers vs. Stain Pads on Deckboards
Paul Kassander replied to fireandrain's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Here is a great truck brush for staining. It can hold a lot of liquid and has a flagged tip. 10" wide and has the threaded attachment for a pole. They are quite popular for back brushing log homes and rougher wood surfaces that will catch on standard pads. -
Swivel casters for surface cleaner

We have a couple of different types available here. They are pretty much universal just check the height of the mounts and give me a call if you have any questions. -
2 Pressure Washers, 1 Hot Box
Paul Kassander replied to WashRite's question in Residential Pressure Washing
You will need to "link" the pressure washers into the single hotbox in order to heat the water. By doing this you will in essence create a single pump washer which will need to be re-split after the burner. This will eliminate the individual nature of the two units. So when you let off the trigger on one gun you will be forcing the unloaders to unload partially on each. There may be some issues related to spiking in the line with pressure and flow but you can help to regulate this issue by installing the correct sized chemical injector like the super suds sucker. Sizing to the flow that would be achieved by an individual unit will eliminate this problem (when ds soaping). If you are operating at pressure only and size your nozzles accordingly the injector may not be necessary. -

That makes for one bad day. -
Envirospec Makes the Rust-Away product which will ship UPS ground or truck freight only. Locally would be in Georgia or Wisconsin where there are distribution warehouses. The link will let you see current pricing.

We were supposed to get a ton of rain yesterday too. Didn't happen just a little at about 4 this morning. It amazes me with all the technology and information available now that there is not more accuracy in the weather.
-
Pre spray and then clean with the surface cleaner.

Powerstroke is a great cleaner degreaser that will lift the dirt and oil stains. If you a looking to brighten the concrete use the Rust-Away when you are done the Oxalic blend does a nice job of whitening the concrete.

Oh ya dairy trailers I do a lot of those, generally not too bad just one type is. They have a trailer or two that they store the expired milk in for the pig farmers (pig trailers). After the farmer empties it usually 1-2 times a month we have to clean them. The milk sits in there so long un-refrigerated that the jugs explode and leave behind a spoiled milk goo. They are nasty...you have to brush the maggots off yourself when done (at least in the summer). That is one disgusting job, just thinking about it gives me the creepies.

Yes They Do!!!

Just be sure to get a bleach compatible gun if you want them to last. (one with a ceramic ball)

Large back hoe sunk in a pond being dug, entire engine compartment and cab filled with rock hard dried clay. I had to clean out every channel and cubby. Ended up washing out about 5-6 yards of mud. (messiest job) De-Greasing heavy equipment with 6" of caked on grease at all the fittings. Paint prep work-very detailed and time consuming you have to get every square inch under neath tracks...there is a lot of stuff stuck on those. (most time consuming) Hoods (least favorite) I don't know how you guys do them incredibly frustrating and that smell stays on you and everthing forever. Icky.

Is this a joke ? Who is washing houses for $39 ????
Paul Kassander replied to MichiganPowerWashing.com's question in Residential Pressure Washing
The problem with a pricing sheet like that is customers do searches and say "well according to the we the national average for that service is $... per unit". I have been presented that info a couple times with some of my bigger customers. In both cases they knew the numbers were bogus but they tried to bully me a little. -
You have all of our support in this difficult time.

Wand/Pressure Lines in Concrete
Paul Kassander replied to buc21jrs3's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Try blending more with the wand/clean in opposite or multiple directions overlapping the spray. Use a detergent or brightening agent like rust-away, that will help or just wait until your cleaner is fixed. -
