  1. A flow unloader is a good way to go, I have always liked them and they seem to make hoses and other parts of your equipment last longer. However keep in mind that if you use tips to change your flow or pressure you can only go to a larger tip size with a flow unloader you cannot go to smaller tip (than where you initially set up your unloader) without having to readjust the unloader.
  2. Fire damaged surface

Nice work the rest should fade away before too long.
  3. Sil-O-Wet/PlexMaster

You will have approx 1/3 of a quart of concentrate per gallon of water to make a ready to use ds (or xjet) mixture. So with a 5 gal pail put in 1-1.5 quarts of concentrate and fill the rest with water now it is ready to use. You can mix it weaker and still get results, this is a highly concentrated product.
  4. Do you plow snow?

thats the best part, now i feel like plowing again.
  5. Sil-O-Wet/PlexMaster

That sounds like a good mix to me you can typically make a 55 gal of ready to use downstream from a 5 gal concentrate.
  6. Do you plow snow?

Wow just realized i got over 23 years plowing...still fun to do and its money to easy to pass up. I buy a new truck about every 3 years and plowing more than pays for it. I bet if someone told you they would give you 300 anhour to sit in a truck and drive aroud slideways all night you'd be happy to do it.... I think thats whats most fun about it slidin around...

  10. ESpec's school

We will be posting some pictures in the next week or so, I have been a little busy trying to catch back up. The school was a great event, it was a real pleasure to meet everyone who attended. I think everyone was impressed by the small footprint high volume concept machines that John developed. For those of you who missed them I will be bringing them to the Michigan round table. From the feedback that I have received so far seemed as though everyone learned a lot, Chuck from general pump did an awesome job on pump rebuilds and unloaders. Greg from Kohler offered some superior engine instruction. The burner and equipment design classes offered a lot of help as well. Everyone also seemed to appreciate the displays to really get a hands on understanding of the parts. Like Jon said, the time away just talking to the other contractors was informative as well. Even the guys with less than a year had some good insight to add. The class seemed to go very well and we are contemplating doing another in the fall. We'll keep you updated. Thank you everyone, we could not have done this without your support and thirst for knowledge, you have made our profession that much better.
  11. MI RT & Demonstration Price Oopsy

Can I be second? I dont really care, I just want to strangle you.
  12. Pump Problem?

sometimes a pump can vapor lock if this happens you cand force feed some water to prime it and then it will usually suck ok.
  13. power stroke

If you are using it for general cleaning you can dilute it quite a lot. For heavier oil or traffic stains the concentrate works well to break it up faster, dumpster areas too.
  14. Landa Water Jet

Sorry that was what i meant, like Ron said, on the inside when you rebuild it not the outside. I have yet to see a union that you dont have to take completly apart to get at the oring that fails. Usually right on top by the inlet.
  15. Envirospec Chemical ?

Yes the chemical makup will allow it to act as a stripper as well as a degreasing agent and concrete cleaner.
  16. Landa Water Jet

No they shouldn't weep any water. It is probably an o ring and can usualy be changed with a little effort.
  17. From the picture it doesn't look like it has the steam kit installed on it. For the downstream injection you should only need an injector. The machine should have a temp limit switch installed some where after the water comes out of the burner. The lack of an adjustable thermostat also leads me to believe that there is no steam kit. If you have questions feel free to call me as well.
  18. Gutter Mixture

Ripper is an excellent gutter cleaner, I have never had problems getting off the streaks with it. plus it can be cut many times over and still work. Look here under House Washing.
  19. Ball Valve

We carry some nice High pressure ball valves as well, take a look here and see if we have what you are looking for.
  20. Envirospec Chemical ?

The restore is an oxygenating bleach product with surfactants and some other additives to improve its overall performance. The Deck and Shake Brightner is an oxcillic acid blend also with additional performance builders and surfactants to improve its performance. Both of these chemicals work very well on wood and the restore will strip some light sealers but it is not designed to be a stripper product. If you need to strip a deck I would reccommend Powerstroke as a safer alternative to the more agressive strippers on the market. If you need more infromation please call me and I will be happy to discuss our chemicals with you.
