  1. Envirospec is planning a 3 day educational seminar to be held between the months of June-August of 2007. This event will be held on Jekyll Island GA so you will be able to bring the family and enjoy the beach as well. This event is an education only event covering things like how to rebuild a pump, burner diagnostics and repair, how an unloader works, and more. If it is on a pressure washer we will be covering it. We will also have various manufacturer representatives on site to talk to. Seating is limited and is on a first come first served basis. Cost is yet to be determined but will only be as high as necessary to cover expenses. Additional activities will also be planned, such as a golf outing, for those that wish to participate. If you are seriously interested in attending please e-mail me here. Let me stress this seminar is not about pushing our products, it is about learning how to properly repair and maintain your equipment. The items that we will be covering are available through almost any vendor.
  2. Educational Seminar

Never got the email but I will save a spot. We have about 5-6 left.
  3. Washing concrete

Power stroke works well it has degreasing properties and will help release the buildup form the surface. I will use a oxcillic when I am done to brighten the concrete on occasion as well.
  4. new to downstreaming

If you like that adjust ability in the nozzles you can still down stream just use a hi-lo nozzle for your tip.
  5. My brother's short film.

It must run in the family. It's just strange enough to be funny.
  6. alternative to bleach on houses

The M16 thruster nozzle uses the same basic injector as our standard adjustable injector it just has 1/4" MPT instead of 3/8 mpt and we add the HI-Lo nozzle and chem line and premium filter. A simple and inexpensive trick to shoot the chemical 3 stories is to use a standard 1/4 hose barb in a quick connect. The opening is large enough to allow for soap draw and it creates the perfect 0 degree tip. Most of the time people that have problems with down streaming are using really long lengths of hose and the back pressure caused is what reduces or stops the venturi suction in the injector. One method people use is to go 1 size down on the injector to compensate for this. What John Allison has done to help those who prefer using longer length hoses is to develop a better downstream injector for greater suction. His new injector works on hose lengths up to 500' it is model SSS-001. For those who claim they cannot get enough chemical downstream he also developed a chemical induction pump that will inject 204oz (approx 2 gallons) per minute on a 5 gpm machine with 500 ft of hose. Here is a link to the injectors, look under down stream injectors. Envirospec North 877-351-1238
  7. In Ground Pool Cleaning / Feedback?

Yes very low pressure the gunnite that they use is fragile. I have a customer with a huge lannonstone patio I clean annualy and his full time landscpe crew decided to tackle the pool one year...with a rotator nozzle. Wow, I should have taken pictures.
  8. Educational Seminar

The best big airport to fly into wold be Jacksonville 1 hr, and the closet airport is in Brunswick 10-20 min. The Days inn on Jekyl Island is right next to the convention center where the school is going to be held. If you need more info you can call me Monday and I can email you all the hotel info. We have about 10 slots left I believe.
  9. can not look any more

I can help as well let me know the pump and I will get you a complete breakdown pdf link. I can help with yur unloader issue as well if you like.
  10. downstreaming???

The injector is installed in a place after the pump, usually off the unloader or by a hose reel. When you drop the pressure with a dual lance or other type of soap nozzle the back pressure is reduced in the line and the water creates a vacuum inside a chamber within the injector. This vacuum sucks in the soap and mixes it with the water running through the system allowing you to spray it on with the pressure washer. When you go to high pressure the back pressure caused makes the vacuum go away and no more soap, then you can rinse. (short version)
  11. Simple nozzle holder

Nice, that is a great idea.
  12. Here we go!!!

degreaser would be fine i will use it from time to time especially on structurees, driveways, and dumpster areas with oil stains.
  13. steel eagle problem

clogged tips or somthing in the lines. try removing the tips and make sure the tubes and line are flushed out then clean the tips and put them back.
  14. Here we go!!!

Most chemicals used here are available there in one shape or form. When cleaning concrete you would be better suited to use a detergent on the surface, chlorine does nothing to remove dirt and oil. With the right application of a mild detergent you can lift and release the dirt and oils deposited on the concrete (from asphalt lots, car droppings etc.) Then run your surface cleaner over the area and rinse. If the concrete needs to be brightened you can add an oxalic acid to the surface and it will lighten it up. For decks it is the same basic principal, use a cleaner or stripper to remove the sealer or damaged wood fibers, then apply an oxalic acid to brighten and neutralize the wood. When dry you can sand and seal as necessary. (short version)
  15. I Need Help....

Typically stamped concrete will have the color all the way through (i have never heard of anyother way)with the release agent on the top that adds the depth to it. You should be able to wash it with a mild soap to remove any oils and stains then re-apply the sealer to it and rejuvenate the color and gloss. I did this on my patio last year ant it turned out great. I just used a clear sealer on it and it looked like new and blended seamless ly with the areas that did not completly wear off. Check your local concrete plant or supplier and they will more than likely have the product you need. If not call and I can get you the name of the product I used.
  16. Cold water machine problem

When all else fails GET A BIGGER HAMMER.
  17. Wanna cut your time in half without sacrificing quality?

SHH..Jarrod dont tell everyone about me being a hack. I thought that was our little secret. And how did you get that deck done so fast ?
  18. PW issue

sounds like a briggs small engine, I have had the same problem with my generator I use on my recollestion system. Once I started turning off the gas between jobs it worked much better.
  19. flatbed truck for commercial set-up

The cabovers are nice trucks to work with. they turn on a dime and drive real nice. From what I know isuzu makes a good truck, just be careful not to overload it. I had a truck similar to that with a box on the back that I had issues with because I had a tendency to fill the tank all the way up to the top. (i know better now) But it was a very reliable truck. I am suprised you dont go with a box though being in NY with the cold and all. It helps a ton if you get a side door, then they are easier to set up right. Truck looks good though.
  20. Engine wont start, can you help?

Did anything work on getting it running Mark?
  21. No suction?

    yes they will, everytime.
  22. open or inclosed trailer

The open trailer isnice for working on the equipment and you can store more stuff, sometimes, but consider the advantages of an enclosed. No chance of stuff falling off when going down the road. you don't have to keep everything perfectly neat and clean because people cant see it. You can lock it up and protect your stuff when you park it or have to run into a store quick. You have a nice mobile billboard for your business.
  23. Tom's Pump Class

Everyone should take the time to attend one of these classes, many of the vendors are offering them including us this summer. Like Rod said you will always get your moneys worth(unless they are charging a crazy price). Tom I salute you and your efforts to spread the knowledge.
  24. Bristol tickets for sale-Can't go

If anyone is looking for Bristol tickets for the March Race let me know I have 4 available in the Allison Terrace, good for all races and qualifying events. Unfortunately I cannot make the race so they gotta go.
  25. Bristol tickets for sale-Can't go

Thanks anyway. I'm sure they will sell, I'm just upset I cant go. Looking forward to the summer race though.
