Yes you can get a replacement ceramic ball just go here and scroll to the bottom of the page. If you know the size ball or gun model you can determine which one you need.

Engine wont start, can you help?
Paul Kassander replied to Mark Williamson's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
When you turn the key on you should hear a small 'click' sound from the carburator. There is a fuel cutout switch on there that stops the fuel flow when the key is turned off. When those go no fuel. (I changed about 4 of those last year) If you are not getting spark there is a diode that connects to the magneto and low oil cut out. Try disconnecting it form the magneto and see if that works. (had 3 of those last year) -

Downstreamer Trouble
Paul Kassander replied to We Wash Concrete's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
If you look down inside the injector where the water flows through there is a ss nozzle inside there. You should be able to pull it out with either a hex wrench or flat head screwdriver. Make sure the nozzle is not worn out and nothing is lodged in the cavity where the venturi is created and then re-install the nozzle. Make sure it is in tight, some locktite for plumbing is helpful. Sometimes what will happen is the orifice will back out from vibration or the end will wear form chemicals and water flow. When this happens the gap the water crosses to create the venturi changes and the cavity fills up and there is no suction. Happens to me every once in a while. -

2 hose unit vs. 1 hose unit ???
Paul Kassander replied to itswillist's question in Residential Pressure Washing
It works great with the right equipment. The dual man units are real nice. -
Greg if the guns are leaking and wont shut off and they are new...ther is probably some debris stuck in the spring or on the seat where the ball rests. Check and see if a little debris is in there by taking off the cover or opening up the back. Remove the bolt or allen set screw and pull out the assembly and inspect it. It is also possible that the HF has eaten away the coating on the ball which will also cause it to leak, but that usually takes a month or two at the least. With the way you are washing they should be lasting at least 2-3 months. Give me a call if you have any questions. Its supposed to be 50 here next week, ready for your refresher course? I could use the help catching up.

Sorry for the delay I was waiting on your gauges I will be getting them all out in the next few days. I am so mad I missed it, was really looking forward to it but didn't want to give everyone a sickness with their free gift. Maybe I will get one going this summer during summerfest then you can learn and have some fun. -

New Coil For Landa
Paul Kassander replied to 4running's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
it can be welded based on it's condition and location of the damage. You also need to have a 'good' welder do it or you will be wasting your time. In most cases however if the coil blew out it is probably worn to a point of replacement. pulling and replacing a coil is not a job you want to do very frequently. I can get you a price on the coil if you like just give me a call with the make and model. -
Buy a bigger machine, I bought a 10gpm machine, from 5.6, just for structures and it cut my time in half. The machine will pay for itself in 1 job that size.

I would have to agree with Russ. Start by checking your wiring for a short and then go from there. -
