Are you a Democrat, Republican or Redneck?
Paul Kassander replied to PressurePros's question in The Club House
I think I'm a Redneck Republican too. YEA! -
I gotto get off my fat duff and do the same I have really gotten out of shape. Once I got out of the army I sort of got lazy.

QC coupler exploded-the results
Paul Kassander replied to Chris S's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
That is really strange, I have never seen that happen with such a low pressure. But like anything I suppose there are some bad runs of stuff. -
QC coupler exploded-the results

Wow, what pressure are you running? -
Dan, I use the black hose (on my site) but the grey non marking is just as durable, just a few bucks more than the black.

Hey Ken, Woodrich questions
Paul Kassander replied to Dan Stapleton's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
You may want to try using a wash brush for your back brushing. One of my customers uses the 10 straight brush on all of his log homes to prevent the wood from picking up the fuzz of a pad. They also work great on uneven surfaces for even coverage. Basically they are a big paint brush that you can put on a pole. http://mobicleaninc.com/store/item/zasj/Brushes/10_Straight_Truck_Wash_Brush.html On the decks he does typically use the flat pads though. -
I use the two wire hose, it is a little heavier but it lasts a ton longer. Even when the casing wears they rarely blowout. I loose the ends like others but I run acid through the lines and that is what eats them up. The casing will usually last about 6-10 months before it is really worn to the point I want to replace it. Most of my washing is fleets so my guys will drag the hose around the sharp legs on trailers and drag it behind the truck when moving around the lots. The hose I have I have found is as durable as the goodyear and others on the market but better priced than most.

Good idea, start with the easy way before going to all that work.

Ron M's great caustic debate - split from another thread
Paul Kassander replied to Ron Musgraves's topic in Chemicals & Safety
I really like these type of threads. Arguments aside the passion each of you have for your methods really puts out an enormous amount of useful information. Usually by the end it all gets clairified so it all makes sense. I believe it is this passion that you(we) all have that makes us successful. Great posts. -

Paul Kassander replied to Adrian's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Congrats on the great find, it's nice to have a backup. -
That is nice I am going to print it and put it on the wall so my employees know what I want when I say I want at least 110%.LOL

I have some truck customers that don't even clean their vehicles that often.

Those are some quite dramatic results there Ken. Of coures you stripped all the black paint off and painted it white...right. Nice job.

Welcome, I'm sure you will have lots to share, but be careful it becomes addicting.

Very well said Jeff.

Sounds to me like an airflow problem. If you burner is staying lit and building to temp your power supply and electrodes are probably ok. Check to see if the coil is full of soot and isn't allowing the air to flow through properly. If it is clogged you should pull the coil and wash it off then reinsulate it and put it back. If you are careful and your insulation is not soaked you can re-use it. You may also want to see if a piece of rust or debris fell on to the area around the burner nozzle and electrodes I had that happen before. If it is clean your air bands may just need to be adjusted open or closed (they may have moved in transport from vibration). Other wise fuel filter, fuel pressure, electrode adjustment, blower motor....You can call as well if you need more help.

Since we are always talking about out home brews I thought it might be good to hear some home remedys. Got a cold yesterday, boo hoo for me:lgsick: , and I was wondering if anyone had tricks that work for them?

If you want a killer steak dinner
Paul Kassander replied to PressurePros's question in The Club House
mmm...steak. Do they have those garlic mashed potatos I love those. -
I remember when I was new and I had a stucco building coverd with thease. I cleaned a sample section and the came off pretty good but not completely. They were happy and I got the job. Well if a spray tip worked good a rotator will work better right.... After knocking off a few sections of stucco I discovered they don't come off. Now I always tell people they won't come off. Like Jeff ssaid they root into the surface. Luckily they were allready planning some repair work there and they didn't care. WHEW... That was close.

True Australian Ghost Story
Paul Kassander replied to One Tough Pressure's question in The Club House
Nice, those sound like Wisconsin jokes as well. Beer capitol of the world. -
You learn somthing new every day, I always thought that carpets were cleaned with low pressure and low flow of water, I never realized it was so similar. Still it seems to me that that much pressure would tear up some carpets, but wht do I know I wash trucks for a living LOL.

most costly mistake doing residential
Paul Kassander replied to SQUEEKY's question in Residential Pressure Washing
That is definately a big one. As well as keeping them on too long thinking they will change or get better.
