Paul Kassander replied to Ron Musgraves's question in The Club House
There you go Ron just set up a shadow company that stencils the city and put out a press release. Pro Powerwash cleans up AZ after crazy stencil company marks up sidewalks... -
Sounds a little like fleet washing... Like Scott said bid it for what your time is worth and you may get lucky and make some money.

Torsion or Leaf Spring?
Paul Kassander replied to 814jeffw's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
I like the leaf springs they are easy to work on and if you need it a bit stiffer you can add additional leafs fairly cheap. -
Thems some incredible results...:D

I need help. Cleaning 2 story Vinyl Siding
Paul Kassander replied to RGilliam's question in Residential Pressure Washing
You really should be able to do that from the ground down streaming. I have found that a 79" straight lance like a zinc or stainless with at 79" alum lance connected at the end with a shouldered lance coupler gives you a very easy so control long lance that is able to reach the gutters and second story if you need to get up close. In this case from what I can tell a good detergent and rinse should be more than adequate to do this job. -

Alkota Hot Water Pressure Washer...Blowing pop off valve
Paul Kassander replied to mlaurenza's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
sounds like you need to adjust the pop off valve. Plus you should re-adjust your unloder to its proper position with a gauge. If you over tighten it this can cause the system to over pressurize as well. -
Absolutely, too much bleach will kill plants grass...be careful.

Pressure regulated throttle control . Where to buy it ?
Paul Kassander replied to MichiganPowerWashing.com's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
They are relatively easy they install on the high pressure side with the block and run the cable back to the throttle. Here is the GP pdf. http://generalpump.com/PDFs/ZSPEED-Throttle%20Control.pdf -
Pressure regulated throttle control . Where to buy it ?
Paul Kassander replied to MichiganPowerWashing.com's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
We have them here it is a throttle controller part # 1665 that uses the load on the pump to regulate the speed. -
Some don't go that high so they don't have to worry about the window seals because bus windows are notorious for leaking or being open. It is kind of a personal preference to keep the soap streaks off the window when it leaks on the inside and you cannot rinse it off.

PW weird pressure problem
Paul Kassander replied to 808powerwash's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Try backing it off about a 1/4 turn, sometimes that will fix the problem. -
Viper has been a real popular product for us with bus washing.

Natural Uncut Limestone patios & walkways
Paul Kassander replied to E P W's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I use Limonene on the stone patios I have a 12000 sq ft one I do every year with about 150' of wall that is 5' high. I found that the light detergent application lifts the dirt and mildew without being too aggressive to the stone and have never had a problem with discoloration. The first time I washed it had been about 5 years since it was previously done and it really did not take much effort to get it clean. -
That's not very fair is it...at least he took another family member.

Any time did you get it all fixed?

Adjusting unloader
Paul Kassander replied to MichiganPowerWashing.com's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
The set nuts that are below the spring are designed as stoppers to prevent the unloader from being tightened beyond its desired setting. If you have employees that think if they crank the unloader down more I will get more pressure then you will want to use them otherwise they really are not necessary. To set them just move them up to the point where the unloader is set and lock them in place so the knob cannot be tightened any further. To set your unloader determine your max operating pressure you are going to achieve and size your nozzle accordingly (use a new nozzle). IE you want 2500 psi at 5.6 gpm then you want a #7 nozzle. Install your gauge in line for setting the pressure. For a flow actuated unloader you will have to pull the trigger as you are setting the pressure for a trapped pressure unloader you do not have to pull the trigger. Then tighten the knob or nut to the desired pressure then squeeze and release the trigger to be sure there is no spike when you release the trigger. IE if it is set for 2500 the gauge should not go beyond 1-200 psi above that when the trigger is released, if it does you have it tightened down too far. From that point if you want to drop the pressure your best method would be to use a larger nozzle and not mess with the unloader. If you back the unloader off to drop your pressure and do not use a larger nozzle all you are doing is reducing the flow rate. Also note that some unloaders require a certain amount of water to be running through the bypass line to operate properly. Remember an unloader is not a pressure building device it is a pressure regulating device it is designed to relieve (bypass) the water at a certain pressure that is all.
