Gallons per minute

Are all pumps to that standard or is there a variation between General, Anno Reverbi and the other brands? Does is make a difference if the pump is a rooler pump or piston pump? -
My estimates state "Waiting time that is not the result or our actions, will be billed at $75.00 per hour. If another trip is required that is not the result of our actions, that trip will be billed at $1.00 per mile and $75.00 per man hour."
That tends to reduce the unneeded number of trips to the job site when tehy are not ready for us. A very nice clause, as our jobs may be 150 Miles away.
I enjoy your posts, you seem pretty sharp for a flat worker.

If I am going to listen to animals, I prefer the sound of elk bugling and the sound of their knuckles popping as they walk near camp in the night.

How much did it cost you to start?
Douglas Hicks replied to Little Buddy's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Less than $2,000.00. I had a POS pick-up, an overpriced PW and Vaccuum. I saw an ad by Black Magic Chimney Sweep. All I knew was what the picture showed. I did not know how to drape, or even to drape. I did cover up the appliances with plastic. I reused plastic (don't tell Ed) and my labor was cheap. The first job took 3 tries, and I was not pleased with the results nor was the customer. I got better and kept the customer for 20 years until they sold out. I did not like the new guy and dropped him. -
ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQ_8EXMEswM This is ironic when you consider how many murderers/terroists Russia has finacned over the years.

Wish me luck...

Have any of you guys tried laying plastic on your chems to retard the drying? Just a question from a greaser -
Joe, I do not know about college classes. I do know that attending mfg classes, UMACC meetings, RT, and other business related meetings are usually deductable. You can also deduct the cost of travel, meals (50% only), parking, while at meetings. Just keep good records.

To date you have learned nothing. And you are contributing nothing to the trade, except dishoner. Beth, there have been others who contributed more and have been banned. If I had a vote, which I do not, I would vote to send him to ***.

I think you should start your own BBS. The way you are going, you will not need to quit posting. I think gutterdog is about to set a new record. Maybe he can set records on other boards also.

John, I will give you a cheesit just for posting that video.

I walked away, instead of making it worse.

Some customers need to be fired. That one needed fireing. You done good, but I'll bet images of giving him a power enema ran throught your mind. -

About 10% of the total trailer weight should be on the tongue. There is a company that sells a jack stand w/a built in scale. Or go to the closest truck scale. -
I had to read your post a couple of times. I thought the coke lady and the seamstress were the same person. I was thinking if a Coke was $.85, what was the sewing job going to cost. Probably more than you could afford, especially with a new child.

This is not competition

Maybe you should put him on the payroll as a salesman for you. Just keep the relationship quiet. -
Mbryan and others on the Grease Police have had pictures stolen and posted by others as thier work. Other members of TGP have then made polite, and some not so polite phone calls and/or e-mails to the offender. Some have contacted the local C of C, or the local BBS about those thefts. usually an apology is made, the pictures are removed. Then the exuse is given, "I/we did not know hte pictures were stolen". Or I/we just hired someone to build the website, we did not know the pictures were not our work". It is nice to know that the grease industry is not alone in thieves.

I am not sure what you are calling a "flow switch". Is that the micro-switch that turns the burner off when a certain pressure is reached? If so , I call it a pressure switch. When my burner intermittantly fails to turn on or turn off, I replace the micro-switch and the switch that screws into the outlet of the coil. At 2:00 AM, I don't have time to test anything, I just replace both switches. At times, replacing the micro-switch does not cure the problem, it may be the pin that pushes on the micro-switch has enlarged the hole and is hanging up. Then replace the whole pressure switch. If the micro-switch does not have a definte snap when tripped, toss it.

I cannot tell from the pictues, rattlesnakes have triangular head. When we found them while hiking, we let them go. Except for the one we found too close to camp. Bull snakes are patterned similar to rattlers, and will coil and strike like a rattler. The young bull snakes esepcially minic a rattler.

What are you going to call your company? Low-Ballers Kind of Clean Pressure Washing. You cannot make any money at that rate. A better thing would be to start by reading all of the posts for flat workers here and on the other boards. Good luck, at least you are not trying to do hoods.

10 psi per length and 10 psi per story. Anything else you need to know? Oh, I never saw a fire truck put out 3,000 psi or 5 gpm. Usually around 100 psi-150 psi and 750 gpm-1250 gpm.

Need Photos showing pressure washing damages ASAP.

Based upon my involvement with Oregon Fire Equipment Distributors, the more that show up, the better. You want to show the MHIC that those in the business do care, are proffessional and are a large group. Be aware, a meeting like yours is what got ORFED started. Now we have a seat on the Oregon Fire Code Committee, and the Oregon Fire Marshall has asked for our input and taken our advice. Some of you should start working towards a group now, so you will be prepared. May 20, Jack Grace from IKECA will be meeting with the Oregon Fire Code Committee about hood cleaning requirements. The Oregon Fire Code committee contacted ORFED, ORFED contacted me, I contacted Jack. I expect to see good things happen for quality hood cleaners. I expect to see bad things happen for the hacks. You have to start somewhere, sometime. Start now. Even if the MHIC shoots you down, you will gain credibilty with them and you will meet others in your trade. -

make sure you use tapered thread couplers. If you use the straight thread, they won't seal. -
Or even the 1 gallon by-pass tank warm.

Funny burner story and a lesson for us all...

I cannot imagine anyone would do such a foolish thing. However, it is possible to put gas in the dsl tank. It is also possible to put dsl in the gas tank.
