What is this?

Hello all,

A customer of mine called me up to look at this series of black spots all over the front of her house, including the concrete and face of the house. I have never seen this stuff and it is all over, I would like to advise her as to what it is. I will also be cleaning and sealing her concrete and would like to get the black spots up. Has anyone ever seen anything like this?

I see it way too often. Follow the link that Josh has provided, and tell the homeowners up front what it is (they can look it up also) Then tell them that it's not going to come off. scratch a piece off in front of them, and show them the mark it leaves behind.
