Curb Appeal 14 Report post Posted June 29, 2007 Hey all. I'm having trouble with my surface cleaner. It's a Landa Water Jet. I have it hooked up to my 5.6gpm/2500psi machine and it just won't turn very fast at all. When I got it, it was hooked to a 4gpm/4000psi machine and it rocked. I've replaced the pump since then and I just can't get it to clean effectively. I replaced the 2.0 nozzles with 3.5 ones to match my pump. It turns so slowly now that can just let it sit in one place for a while and the surface still won't get clean. I can clean faster with my wand and a 7.0 tip. Any ideas? Do I need to look into replacing the swivel? Is my pressure too low to turn the bar? Big flatwork job coming up, so before I go buy another surface cleaner, please help! One Tough Pressure 580 Report post Posted June 29, 2007 2500 is enough to spin the bar just fine. If you spin the bar by hand, does it go smoothly? Check the tips for clogs, and take them out to run the surfacer without them and clean out the line of any junk.
HotShot 34 Report post Posted June 29, 2007 yep...I'm with Alan, had that same problem myself. The tips didn't "look" clogged, but they were. I just blew on them from the outside and it came right out. Worked great ever since.

Curb Appeal 14 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 Thanks to all for your suggestions. I'll be giving it a thorough cleaning out tomorrow. Someone also suggested checking the inline filter too. I'll let you know how it goes.

Hotwaterwizard 33 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 What about the angle of the arms. They should be adjusted once in a while. They make an adjustment tool for them. If the Angle is wrong or out of whack it will slow it way down.
