Respirator/Mask When Spraying Percarbs? Hmmm...

Question

Been spraying LOTS of EFC38 and straight Sod. Percarb lately. LOVE IT! Do any of you guys where respirators when spraying this stuff? Ive heard a bit about off-gasing with the EFC38, know its not a caustic, just wanna make sure my future babies won't have 12 fingers! Thanks!

No problems unless you inhale it directly in mist form. Then it can irritate your sinuses, throat and lungs if it gets in that far. A dust mask works to absorb the moisture before you can breathe it.

Rod!~

Matt,

As I recall, straight sodium percarbonate when mixed with water releases oxygen.

EFC38 contains NaOH if others here are correct, so a respirator may be desired.

Oxalic acid has some health issues that you may want to review.
