Low Cost Recovery

Can a recovery system be put together for under $1,000.00 ? My rig is a 4gpm cold & a 8gpm hot with a 90 gallon tank. All the commercial recovery units are just to expensive for me right now. I work in the San Diego area doing mostly flat work water only, no chemicals. I have some work to bid and there is no recovery back to the property available.

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions. Been reading this forum for quite awhile and it has always been helpful.

You can make your own simple unit with a drain seal and pickup pump. Or make a custom insert for the drain with a sump pump.

If you need to pickup off the ground with no real area to act as a sump you are going to have an much more difficult time of making or finding something for under $3000 that is worth purchasing.

Do you already have a generator to run a vacuum and/or sump pump?

If yes, then you can do it for that price, if no, then you need to spend a bit more.
