mobilewow 14 Report post Posted June 13, 2008 Does anyone know how to carry a 32ft ladder on a regular full size shortbed truck or on a 5x10ft trailer safely? By the way it's only 32ft when extended.

0 CWheeler 14 Report post Posted June 13, 2008 you could find a local welder in your area to fabricate a rack or there are some commercial set ups out there. Finding a welder is probably cheapest route and you could have something custom made. Just my .02 cents
0 Gutter Squad 14 Report post Posted June 13, 2008 (edited) I have a custom ladder rack (welded for me) made from 2"x1 1/2" rectangular steel pipe. Works great - have additional welds to hold my high pressure reel and low pressure reel from the ladder rack. I was carrying a 40' aluminum ladder on it, no problem. The truck is an F150 (with a longbed, though). Edited June 13, 2008 by Gutter Squad additional info
