Ronnie Reeves 14 Report post Posted March 16, 2004 I have been reading about the extend a wand and was wondering if the fiberglass model is as good as the older alluminum model? Im thinking of getting the 24 foot 1/4 hose rod. Any suggestions?
Jack Kramer 15 Report post Posted March 16, 2004 Ronnie, Last year I bought the 24 foot extend-a-wand as it could reach the highest point of most homes. My distributer advised me yo buy the 18 foot wand as it is much lighter. After 2 weeks of using the 24 foot wand I bought the 18 foot wand as well. I use both of them all the time. If I only need 18 feet I uses the smaller one but there are many time the 24 foter is needed. Good Luck
Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted March 16, 2004 The aluminum really is the top of the line, but if you are just starting out and can't afford it the new fiberglass pole is supposed to be really good. We carry both on the store.

CompletelyClean 14 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 What is the length of both, the 24' and 18' when not extended or "closed"? Also, does anyone know what the weight difference is between these two wands? Beth, do the wands you sell come completely assembled with all fittings, hoses, etc? CompletelyClean 14 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 I just found out from Extend-A-Wand that the difference in weight from the 18' to the 24' is only 2 lbs. In my book, for an extra 6' at only 2 lbs, that is well worth getting the 24'.
