Washing Wood Siding

Question

I had a customer call today wanting his 2 story house washed. It is wood siding and the paint is 10 years old. I haven't seen the house yet but with the paint this old is this even feasible, if so how.(what checms) We have washed vinyl and aluminum but never wood.confused.gif

Any help wood be appreciated...

Check to see the condition of the paint, is it intact or cracking and peeling? Do they just want it washed, or do they want it removed? If the paint is prior to 1972 you have to also test for lead before you can do anything, and if it is lead paint you won't want to mess with it.
