Pressure regulated throttle control . Where to buy it ?

Recommended Posts

Stay away from anything that lowers the throttle on an air cooled engine. They are only made to be run wide open and should be shut down in the wide open position.

Never heard that before. What's the reasoning behind it?

Briggs and Kohler recommend full throttle. Most any mechaninc, including myself and my Landa dealer will state the same. Air cooled engines need full throttle to maintain their temp and fuel consumption. I found this link and can dig up some engine manuals if I can find them. Not sure about VW's.

Thats just stupid- If your powerwasher has a speed controller that works off pump pressure and it's trigger activated- I had one for 2 years- I never had a problem with the engine. I have one thats 12 years old- over 1000 hours on it- I just this year changed the spark plugs on it- tough engines.

12 years and 1000 hours? No wonder your engines last, your not working:). Mine avaerage about 1800 hours a year. I figure you can't go wrong if you stick to the suggestions of the manufacturers that research, build and sell the engines.
