Linking two non-identical machines

Just a theory question here, would I be able to run my 3000psi 3gpm machine and my 3500 psi 4gpm machine (at 3000 psi) to a single gun? I would be able to have 7gpm when I really needed it. Given the tips would have to be changed out everytime I wanted to do the boost, just wondering if it is possible

You can tie them together with a tee fitting & jumper hoses. Pressure should be similar. Both machines need to have pressure type unloaders & not flow actuated unloaders. My 3700-4gpm & 3500-5.5 gpm work together that way. I use a dual lance wand & a 25degree 20gpm tip on wood.

Lyle. Why the 20 gpm tip?

We run twins most days and 9 gal combined, we run 9 or 10 gpm tips.

I edited my post. Thats for wood so I get more useable water. I use a 10gpm tip for high pressure.
