rand156 14 Report post Posted September 14, 2009 Ok, first off, I am a newbie here and have been in business about 2 years part time. I do trucks, motorhomes, flatwork and have done a couple houses. I have a RK-41 Delco H/C pressure washer. It is rated at 3,000 psi and 5gpm. It also has a cemical injector. I am not familiar with downstreaming but have read some about it on here. Am not sure if my injector is downstream or not. If not was wondering where do I put one and how. I just replaced a pump and downloader and not sure I want to run cemicals through pump anymore. Jerry 24 Report post Posted September 27, 2009 Downstream chemical injectors are super-sensitive to “flow-restriction”.. Rusty fittings, especially rusty hose-ends are really bad. Lots of hose on a reel is flow restriction, The reel swivel is a flow restrictor too. At the inlet of the hose reel is my recommendation too, BUT.. Do it on a quick coupler, so you can remove it when you don’t need it. Or, use the ST61 injector.. it’s the one -size- fits –all (from 2 to about 8gpm), It is adjustable for system-flow, and you can open up the venturi to NOT restrict flow when you don’t need chemical. They are very easy to adjust, and you can leave it on, if you like.
