Don Windle 14 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 I've got a question about a greasing a concrete cleaner hub. My maintenance guy said we should only put one or two pumps of grease in it per day. He said if we pack the hub with grease we could bind it up. I think that's nuts. We pump grease into the wheel hubs of our boat trailers until it comes out the other side. I can't believe grease, a lubricant, can bind anything up! So what's the word with the members... grease sparingly, or pump it up! Oh yeah, we're using a 3,700 PSI, 4 GPM pressure washer which feeds into our 180 degree heater... We usually run 150-200 feet of HP hose with the concrete cleaner on the end... Go easy on the high pressure swivels (your maintenance guy is right). Too much lube will slow down your spray bar, and ruin seals quickly. Your high pressure swivel is not like a wheel hub.
