Newbie question.. Pressure Pro machine

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. My name is Trae Roberts. I live in Charleston, SC and I am looking to start my own pressure washing business. First off would like to say that this site is great. Its is nice to see that people are willing to help educate others in their profession without worrying about the competition. I found a used pressure pro belt drive 3500 psi 4gpm machine at a local pawn shop. I asked the guy to let me check it out, so we took it outside and it started right up. The pressure started going up and down after a lil while. I tried different tips and it was the same with all. Is this most likely the unloader? I used to pressure wash for someone else years ago but really have never worked on them before. I guess my worry is if it could be something else like the pump. I just dont want to pass on a good machine because of something simple. Thanks in Advance for any suggestions or opinions. I will mainly be doing residential.

That series pump is VERY rebuildable..

a seal kit might be all that it needs, but

pull the head to see if it needs plungers too ! ..they are $50 bucks each.

and check for oil leaks, especially under the head.

Well bought it for $425 and took it home to check it out. seems like it just wasnt getting enough water before because it ran perfect for about 30 mins. Hope everything holds up.

Don't spend more than $99.50 for "soft parts" ,

and labor.. $49.50 ..at a local service center.

We sell a Universal Seal-Puller if you need to do it yourself.

e-mail me for more info.. and our free Pump Check-Up list
