Readyseal on Cedar Question

Question

Has anyone ran into Readyseal peeling off the horizontal surface of a cedar deck? All vertical surfaces are fine, there are several floor boards that the sealer looks like it is peeling. Any help as to why this happed, and how to prevent it from happening again would be appreciated. Thanks

Very simple, you put too much on and it dried on the surface. You must wipe off what doesn't go in before you leave the deck. Less is best! it's easier to put more on than to have a skin form. Decks less than two years old or a deck that you stripped that was sealed right after being built present the most problems with oil absorption.

You have to understand how much oil the wood will take.
