cwenbass 14 Report post Posted June 8, 2011 I know I can mix reg. food store bought, but I want already made 12% bleach. Home depot sells outdoor bleach but it does not state the percentages/ingredients even though it should.
0 Washed Up 14 Report post Posted June 8, 2011 Try A chemical supplier or a pool supply store in your area. If you must you can get by with 6 % S.H. Just don't dilute it as much
0 RGilliam 46 Report post Posted June 8, 2011 see if you have a univar or something close by, if not, like John said, pools stores have it, btw fill out ur signature so we know who you are.
0 Timo 25 Report post Posted June 8, 2011 A good place to start would be to identify the product that you wish to purchase. The Sodium Hydroxide that you're asking about is some really nasty stuff in the wrong hands and should not be available in bulk at Home Depot. If you are asking about Sodium Hypochlorite, it is sold (in a slightly stronger than household bleach) in a product called outdoor bleach. Skip it. If you can't get your hands on 12%, consider Sams Club Chlorox using different ratios as mentioned above.
0 Doug Black 18 Report post Posted June 8, 2011 Sodium hydroxide remains only in small amounts as a result of the manufacturing process.
0 cwenbass 14 Report post Posted June 8, 2011 I guess I am just referring to reular 12% bleach, not sodium hydroxide. I want it for cleaning houses. Sorry for the confusion.
