Chazz 14 Report post Posted July 27, 2011 Doing my brother in law a favor. He needs me to remove white paint that splashed on to his brick front on a house he just bought And also the previous home owner sprayed the gas line chrome color from a spray can and got a good amount of over spray on the vinyl siding. What should I use for the removal? Graffiti remove?
0 Rick2 42 Report post Posted July 28, 2011 Use a light mixture of HD80 on the vinyl, it'll come right off.
0 John Orr 206 Report post Posted July 29, 2011 Ditto on the HD80 for the vinyl. On brick, HD sells a spray paint remover. I can't recall the brand, but it's in a gold can. Nasty stuff that will melt plastic - so only use it on the brick. Apply, pw off. It will remove the paint - as well as any exposed skin! (Use proper PPE!) I've used it to remove 30 year old paint drips with great success.
0 Chazz 14 Report post Posted July 30, 2011 Ok. Great stuff thanks guys. I will go to HD and look for it
0 Chazz 14 Report post Posted August 2, 2011 For the record I wound up using goof off spray from a can on the bricks Let it sit for a few and hit it with some decent pressure and it came right off Tried a spot without the goof off and it didn't work so well. So goof off did the job
