High Pressure O Rings

Recommended Posts

I just buy bulk Buna-n o-rings from Grainger. 100 pcs for about $3. Part # 1KEZ9 for 3/8" and 1KEZ7 for 1/4"

Thanks for the tip. Thats alot less then I have been paying.

buna is the cheap low-temp version..

go for Viton, and less DOWNTIME. Eh?

I have a HUGE variety of o-rings and back-up rings

..and pipe fittings variety too.

The only place I use quick disconnects is nozzle/wand. Hoses, and all other connections I use the twist locks. I get mine from Delco/Rahsco/Power Wash. But I expect other suppliers who advertise here also have the twist locks.

Viton o-rings are 7x more expensive, but I'm considering buying some to see if they hold up any better behind the turbo tips. It seems that the vibration from the turbo tips is rapidly eating o-rings, but I really don't think Viton would hold up better, but I'm probably going to give them a try.

I found that I have much fewer pump and unloader problems when I keep a good supply of o-rings in each truck. It is amazing how much extra wear and tear a leaky o-ring puts on a machine...

7 times more expensive to a total additional cost of 35 cents.. ..saving you 15 to 45 minutes, and frustration..

whilst the customer watches you fumble through a rusty tool box..

Hmmm..

Viton is not only higher-temp-rated, it is more abrasion resistant !

About the Twist-Fast couplers..

I like 'em, they ARE more reliable,

I should recommend 'em more often, ..certainly on 4000psi+ and 200degr.F+ systems

I will add that point to my Pressure Washer "Bullet-Proofing" class.
