Douglas Hicks 128 Report post Posted August 20, 2012 The ignition problem is fixed, thanks to Russ. The transformer fixed that problem. Now, I am having a lot of smoke, dark smoke even with the burner off. I have not adjusted the air band, but will today. How often is the fuel nozzle to be changed? What nozzle size do I need? happysmobile 14 Report post Posted August 20, 2012 Im pretty sure you will have to talk to the maker to find the right size nozzles. It may be stamped on the unit somewhere. The smoke is from unburnt fuel so you definately need more air. Ive never needed to change a nozzle so i amagine when you cant give it enough air thats when you would need a new one. I also guess it would take a while for one to wear out.
Russ Johnson 141 Report post Posted August 21, 2012 Fuel nozzles should be changed yearly. If you get the old one out, it'll have numbers stamped on it to designate orifice size and spray pattern, as well as flame shape.
