0 Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted February 28, 2013 I don't know if it is on Netflix or not. We bought the DVD's. After we watched the first season on DVD, I bought all five books and read them. The first few are smaller, but 4 and 5 are large and book 5 is over 1,000 pages. There is a map of the lands, and an index of each family so you can keep track of who is who, because it gets really complex. But damn it's good. It's an HBO series. There is of course stuff in the books that will not make it to the screen, except book one was pretty spot on. Book two we just watched on DVD, and I will say there was some deviation. The third book airs in March (end of March) on HBO and from what I have heard, not all of it will fit into one season TV. And I think that is good....book three is the BEST of them so far. But I was not wild about how the author split locations in books 4 and 5 and I really hope when they film those, they weave them back together.....Just saying.
