0 RyanH 14 Report post Posted December 21, 2004 Ladder stabilizer with rubber footies will keep the siding safe. I've tried to get away with not using the ladder and staying only with the extensions, but you just can't do a good job on windows without one.
0 newlook 265 Report post Posted December 24, 2004 Ladders with rubber footies as Ryan H. mentioned. You can get them at any hardware store. Before we bought the footies we used about 3 pairs of socks and sled them over the top ladder post and tapped it with tape. It wasn't pretty but it protected the building. 0 John Orr 206 Report post Posted December 26, 2004 I will only use a ladder to get onto roofs or 2nd story decks and I always use a stabilizer with the stabilizer either sticking through the railing or sitting on the roof. Going up and down is dangerous enough without having to worry that the ladder will slide out from under you.
