PressurePros 249 Report post Posted January 27, 2005 This may be a little lazy but I am too tired to look for the answer... up to what gpm is an X-Jet rated? Has anyone tried using one with say an 8 gpm machine?
Henry B. 4 Report post Posted January 27, 2005 I use it on my 8gpm rig, I'm not sure how high up it will go though.
Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted January 27, 2005 They have different sizes to work with your machines psi. #9 2000-3000psi #13 3000-4000psi #16 4000-5000psi They will work with (in my experience) an 8gpm machine. They are designed on the priciples of single gun systems. They work on dual gun units, but, if only one of the guns are being used, it will get a larger flow and change the ratio of chem to water injection. Something to be aware of... Rod~ Hmmm, when I bought one I didn't think sizes (especially psi ratings) were a factor. How can you determine which one you have? I get maybe 25 ft of effective spray height. I get a mist of chemical at 40 ft but I always thought when people have said they get 40ft they were full of it. Perhaps I have the wrong size? The X-J is used currently on a 5.5 gpm/3500 psi machine
Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted January 27, 2005 It sounds like you have a #16 instead of a #13 as illustrated by the throw you are NOT getting :) I will check and see if there is a way to determine which one you have... Rod~
Don Phelps 85 Report post Posted January 27, 2005 If you take the xjet apart, you'll find a small, round insert behind the barb. It should have a # stamped on it. That will be the size you have.
