Memorial Day

Question

I hope each of us took some time today to remember those who have died in service to their country. That's what Memorial Day is all about...Not grilling out and taking time off work and having a blast...it was intended as a day to be set aside in rememberance of our nation's fallen warriors. We enjoy all these things thanks to their selfless sacrifice.

Hey Mike, have you made the trip up to the Memorials in DC on the Mall over Memorial Day Weekend? It's really something if you have not done it yet. Everyone is camped out on the mall, and rolling thunder is there. There is a long line at the Vietnam Vets memorial wall and volunteers hand out sheets of paper so you can do rubbings of the names of loved ones who have fallen in the line of duty. It's a really neat experience to walk the mall on this day, and see the Washington Monument, Capital and reflecting pool.

Well said. We owe a lot to the brave men and women who have died for our country.
