One Tough Pressure 580 Report post Posted March 1, 2003 Have read more than a few times of people that use dish soap as a surfactant in their house wash. What do you do with all the suds? I mean when I wash some dishes, it foams a lot, I could not imagine 2 cups of it put thru my machine and then falling in someones plants. What am I missing here??? Beth n Rod 1,279 Report post Posted March 1, 2003 The amount of "dish soap" in a home brew is not as much as you think. I have heard guys say its so you can see where you're throwing your bleach up... makes sense. Keep in mind also that most often guys will rinse with cold water. Cold water cuts suds. Hot water creates them. Washing with cold creates fewer of them, but then they cut easily regardless of if you used hot or cold to wash with. It's not as bad as you think. Don't worry, you aren't you going to have piles of bubbles floating around... Beth:cool:

ron p 500 Report post Posted March 23, 2003 if you have a site to do a little testing[homeowner not home] You might try this just to see how you like it. Use Dawn[origional not the ultra] in a mix of EFC38 and a FOAMER. Shootdown one side of the house and let dwell untill most of the suds are gone. Then rinse. I like to add a wax to my rinse water. This takes longer then the typical bleach mix but the EFC38 is much safer. Try it once and see if you like it. It is, in my opinion, not that cost effective compared to some housewash's but work's well.
