Switching Pumps, Need to change pulleys

Recommended Posts

I want to switch the pump on my 18 horse Honda from the General t9281 to a Ts2021. I need to know if anyone knows if I need to change both pulleys are just one and what size it would be.

The 9281 that is on it runs at 1750 rpms and the 2021 is 1450 rpm. If anyone could help I would appreciate it.

I would also be willing to sell the 9281 if anyone is interested.

Tell me the diameter of the engine pulley and I'll tell you what size the pump pulley has to be.

If you want to work it out yourself, here's the formula:

(Engine pulley X engine RPM) / Pump RPM = Pump pulley

There's a formula to figure out the new belt size, too. I'll have to look it up for you tomorrow.
