Tape

Recommended Posts

I usually use duct tape to cover things with plastic. Is there a good waterproof tape i could use that wont leave a sticky residue.

I need it to cover keycard slots on hotel room doors

Thanks JL

We've used the painters tape then put duct tape over it with good results. The painters tape alone is not water resistant at all and will fall off whatever you've stuck it to but adding the duct tape over it has worked well - extra step in set-up, but less mess later :)

The best tape that I could recommend would be heat shrink tape. It is designed to be used on cars and boats without leaving a residue on the finish.

The cost is about $25.00 for a 250 ft by 6" roll.

I get it through a company called Land and Sea.

yes, I am not sure if they have any in gso or raleigh, I brought it in to MB for window frames to keep stucco and concrete off of them. It works good with window film for protection during construction.
