On new PT lumber, I LOVE the Warm Honey Gold. The Western Cedar is nice too, but will take on a little more of a brown tone if there is a fair amount of green in the wood you are working on from the CCA.

The Redwood looks very nice on Cedar wood, or Redwood wood. It's nice on pine, but I like it better on cedar or redwood.

On cedar, it depends on the cedar. If it is white, you really can go either way...Warm honey gold, or Cedar. The Cedar color on cedar wood is very rich. The honey is more subdued, but brings the color of the amber in the cedar out nicely.

On OLD PT lumber I would go with Cedar. The Warm Honey Gold on old PT lumber doesn't seem to look as nice, but then I don't think ANYTHING looks decent on the gold family on old neglected PT lumber.

Does this help?

Oh yeah, you can blend the honey and cedar to make what some are calling New Cedar.
