Sodium Hypochlorite

Question

Wanted to ask all the experts on the board if industrial bleach is safe to use. I found that I could buy WD laundry Bleach Chlorine by the 55 drum close by.

It is 15% concentrate. If its safe to use how to dilute it and at what ratios?

Thanks,

S & J

I'm not use to anything but house hold bleach and was just wondering if you would mix it just like you would 12.5% bleach. It seems that 15% would be alot stronger.

When my pool supply place gets it its around 14%, just mix with water and soap and you should be fine 1 gallon 15% the rest water

15% is 20%. stronger than 12.5%. The percentages are the amount of sodium hypochorite that is in the solution. 12.5% is 12.5% SH and 87.5% inert ingredients (usually just water). 15% is 15% SH and 85% inert ingredients.

It will also burn your skin 20% more too. Be careful the 12% can be nasty enough as it is.
