Trailer floor protector

For those who have wood trailer floors did you spray something on it like LineX to protect the flooring from water and chemical spills??

I should have my trailer here this week and I can decide on what to do with the floor.

Used conveyor belt. Works great!!! You can buy it new from a rubber and industrial place but if you have a lot of factories near by, try to make contact with someone. Here on the Island most of the major Pharmeceuticals have several plants, so I scored some replaced belt from the makers of Viagra!!!

Do Line X or Rhino Liner its great stuff. I used epoxy on my floor wish I did Line X. A guy here just had his new setup put together and he did his whole open trailer with Line X floor , rails, fenders etc. I think its well worth it. My next will have it on at least the floor. Its in my truck beds

Can these be sprayed by you or do they have to be done professionally?? The problem I'm having about making a decision on doing this is that I have some really heavy items that are going to go in this trailer and to get these in they will have to be dragged accross the trailer floor. If the floor was sprayed first I would think dragging a 1000lb powerwasher over it my damage the coating..Unless I have the floor done after these heavy items are put in place..but is that not the right way to do it??????????

I did my open trailer with rhino that I bought at auto zone it has been great, going to replace the floor on it next month and I plan on putting the rhino on it also. Great stuff

They sell a couple of spray on linings on Ebay. Look close a couple are good and a couple look unproven to me. I was thinking about it but am undecided as of yet.

John its pretty tough stuff, I'd check with the line X guy. I would have it sprayed 1st I would think. I dont think dragging equip. would hurt it really, but check and maybe they can do a touch up if it does scratch it up. Thhe stuff is hard stuff

The guy that works for me picked it up since he was going to Ohio anyway. This worked out good for me and him. He used my truck, I paid for all the gas, Hotel room for two nights, all meals for him and $200 for his efforts. Since he is paying in the neighborhood of $2.85 per gallon outside of NY(Figures) and my truck is averaging about 19mpg and the total mileage is about 1800 miles the gas bill will be around $270 total. I feel like I'm saving money already.

When John gets back tomorrow (thurs.) He is scheduled to work all day Friday,Sat,Sun,Mon. and possibly Tuesday. Money spent,Money back,Money spent,Money back..it just comes...and goes..
