Question

Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at an Elingsh uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht frist and lsat ltteer is at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae we do not raed ervey lteter by it slef but the wrod as a wlohe.

For those that had a hard time with that, here is the correct version.

According to a research at an English University, it doesn't matter in what order the letters in a word are. The only important thing is that the first and last letter is at the right place.. The rest can be a total mess and yuo can still read it without problem. This is because we do not read every letter by itself, but the word as a whole.

Very strange....I had no problem reading that first part at all...

Here's one....

Count the number of F's in the following text:

FINISHED FILES ARE THE

RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC

STUDY COMBINED WITH THE

EXPERIENCE OF YEARS

Got it?

Scroll down only after you have counted them!

OK?

How many?

Three?

Wrong, there are six - no joke!

Read again!

FINISHED FILES ARE THE

RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC

STUDY COMBINED WITH THE

EXPERIENCE OF YEARS

The reasoning is further down.....

The brain cannot process the word "OF".

I also seen this before and now I got it wrong again for the second time. I counted the f's when I read it and then counted them again backwards thru the sentence and both times I got 3.

Nothing like screwing something up twice:eek:

The link from paul works because using that formula, every resulting number is a multiple of 9. Either 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, or 81. The symbol next to each of these numbers on the chart is the same. In short, it's rigged!!!

I just noticed this, but the symbols change each time you try it...but they are still the same symbol for all 9 of the numbers above....
