Hi all,

Some of you have contacted us saying that you have had trouble accessing the BBS. By now the DNS server has propagated so you should be able to do it. Thanks to one member who forwarded an email to us, we believe we have the reason, and a solution.

Many of you have subscribed to threads you are following. Very often, readers will click a link in the email, and it takes them to the post.

During the setup and transfer of the databases the URL was listed as an IP address. It has been changed in the setting to the URL. However, if you subscribed to a thread before we changed the URL in the control panel, the chances are you're getting emails with a numeric link rather than www.thegrimescene.com and that's the problem. Also, if you have bookmarked the numeric link, change it to www.thegrimescene.com .

If you have a thread you are following, go into your User Control Panel, and unsubscribe, then resubscribe, and you will recieve notices with the correct link.

All the links that I have received lately contain the numeric url and do not work. I just delete the emails and use my regular bookmark and click new posts.

Unsubscribe, then resubscribe and it's all set. ;)

when i get a notice I have a responce to a subscribed thred I usually wait and go to the main entry point to read it, thus I don't hve to constantly log in to see the reply.
