One Tough Pressure 580 Report post Posted October 6, 2006 Awhile back I read an article online regarding using diatomaceous earth and portland cement mixed together to eliminate oil stains on concrete. I have not yet tried it, but can envision that it work well. I would not be surprised if that is what is in these dry clean up products that have come on the market in recent years. TRAVISJ 14 Report post Posted October 7, 2006 I Have Talked To A Friend That Used Straight Portland To Do The Same He Said It Worked Well You Will Have To Let It Sit For About 24hrs Or So. Christopher 102 Report post Posted October 7, 2006 I have some of the D.E. but do not want to try it with the Cement. As soon as I get a job or a place that it will be able to sit for a few days I will do some experiments. I cannot find the D.E. at a cheap price. A 25 pound bag was 35 dollars. Hope I can find it cheaper. I was told to make a poultice with different chems and change it out every few days and it might work depending on how old the stain is.
