Downstreaming Decks?
Beth n Rod replied to 814jeffw's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
In my personal experience, downstreaming NAOH based chems always and I will underline that word Always has created more problems than time saved. Food for thought... Rod!~ -
This has been debated in the past but in light of the time that has past, some may have changed their position. Do our customers consider our industry Legitimate? I will go even farther to ask another version...do our customers think we are professionals? Whats your take on this? Rod!~

Concise, clean, to the point. The lytebox photos need the X to close graphic, but other than that, you are good. Beth

Air compressor HP for given CFM (Soda)
Beth n Rod replied to ERADicator's question in Having A "Blast" (sand, soda, dry ice, etc.)
I do not advise a filter mask over an air supplied respirator hood in any blasting circumstance at all. There are serious lung disease issues associated with blasting and neither you nor your employees should be exposed for any duration. A blast helmet with a dedicated air supply is the way to go. Ipe' stain shoot out
Beth n Rod replied to RPetry's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I have seen many a deck turn totally black with Messmers, floors, rails all of it at once (uniform and total failure). We don't install it, just strip it and put down a new product. Have seen this also on various species, ipe, cedar etc.... Beth -

Extra Long Spraying Lances for Spraying Stain???
Beth n Rod replied to fireandrain's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
....is it on an airless or what? What is the sprayer and the connection type? I would think there is a standard aluminum lance, and that you need to look at the end, threading, and size? This is a guy question. I could be wrong. Beth -
? about stripping Olympic Max.
Beth n Rod replied to rj242's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
When you say "colored", do you mean solid or is it the semi-transparent? If the customer is ok with it, just clean it and re-coat. Rod!~ -

Beth n Rod replied to MMI Enterprises's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
No, it's country yes, but I think it would go well with the wood flooring and stone wall. So would wrought iron or metal for that matter....copper maybe.... Beth -

I'll bet there is a second work area...my desk is sort of L shaped... An oil lamp would look nice on the desk...or maybe a lamp made from reclaimed lumber with a rawhide shade... Something really rustic to accent the floor.... Beth -
