Yes. It's distressing. It's disgusting. And I hate to say this - but it's going to get worse before it begins to get better. But boy do I hope I am wrong. Around here some affluent neighborhoods with relatively new and also established shopping centers are going out. Large stores, small chains....from home wares to kids stuff, to outdoor items, to pet shops to mom n pops....are closing their doors. People are getting laid off. I have friends who made a healthy living in other ways that are unemployed. The only advice I can give, is stay focused on your business. I'll say it again, networking can help us all get through this. Beth

Our economy is effecting other markets as well. I heard that interest rates overseas dropped in a couple of places too. Beth

Yeah, that was a real WTF?!?! moment. I could not believe my ears. It's about the WORST idea I have heard in a long time. There are no easy answers to the problems we are facing, no simple equation, and it certainly will not improve overnight. And while we are on it, I am not sure I agree with cutting the prime rate again either. What a joy that was to wake up to. Beth

I have to say I much prefer hearing any candidate answer the questions rather than using the podium as a pulpit for an infomercial. Buy prime time for that people, some of us want to hear your stand on the issues, don't blame any of us if we choose NOT to vote for you because you can't even follow basic debate guidelines. Beth

That is the problem for me and the reason for my response in this thread, that politicians seem to think that they can choose which questions to answer. To me it is deceptive and evasive. That is the kind of thing that has gotten us to distrust our government in the first place and I don't condone it. If a politician agrees to willingly submit to a debate and answer questions, what gives them the right to avoid any one in particular? This is a betrayal of the voters confidence and I hope people will see it for what it is, a Flaw in their character. Biden answered every one. Rod!~

I think Celeste did recently. Also in the past PWNA has had it at conventions in the past. I get mailers on local trainings from them (QB) and others all the time. There is some really good stuff out there, some of it is very reasonable too. Beth
