The last thing you would want to do is to seal it in that condition because it is like setting a stain in cloth. A real pain to get out afterwards. Rewash it and neutralize in a methodical pattern making sure you don't miss any areas. Keep the deck wet before you neutralize to help with the dispersion of the brightener. Rod!~

There is a distinct difference between 'water based' and 'water borne'. The difference is in the compatibility with water. The way it was related in a brochure for Defy products is that water based products are just that, water based and the formula starts out with water as the primary carrier. TGS has been testing 3.7.0 on a test database for 3 weeks now. We also made the decision some weeks back to migrate to a new host with better service. This has already proven to be of benefit. While we regret the down time, we believe that the migration to the better host, the upgrading of VB to 3.7.0 (and ALL our other installed components which had to be tested during our test phase), the re-skinning of the forums, will all continue to make TGS the BEST forum for our industry. Fortunately we have only had a few of these but, the most frustrating thing for me to deal with is a customer that thinks they can treat us, our company or it's crews like we are beneath them just because they are the customer who holds dearly to the stupid adage "the customer is always right". If that person could see the monsters he created ... There are those that abuse it and take advantage of it to get more for themselves. Great thing about being a business owner, we can choose our clientele and the ones we keep are the ones who treat us with the same respect we show them and their property. Other than that and this is a close 2nd is lack of good water flow at a residence. I loath waiting for a tank to fill enough to finish a job. We usually have everything ready to go so hoses are all that need to be rolled up, but it cuts into productivity waiting. No one wants to damage the pump! :rant: Rod!~

I have seen a crystaline haze or breakthrough of the finish around knots and sap veins when rinsing was not done thoroughly. Granted it wasn't RS but oil based products that use parrafin wax as the enviro-barrier. With Citric, I don't see a problem but with Oxalic being left behind, uhuh! The stuff is poison and a liability. my .02 Rod!~

Too hard to tell for sure, the pics aren't high enough resolution. Two things, could be either residue from the chems or just dead wood fibers. I didn't see anything mentioned about a pressure washer but just a deck brush used as the cleaning agitator. The first pic looks clean, the second looks like grey wood. Got any more pics, especially from a better distance to see the overall deck? Rod!~
